Took a trip out to the coast and up to Eureka after Turkey Day. On the way back we drove through the Redwoods and these are the pictures from the trip:
The coast was great. We just pulled off to the side of the road, no one else was around and got some great shots. We were able to climb down the hill to the beach and get much closer to the rocks and sea stacks in the water. Here are two more shots from the beach (spray on the rocks and out on the point). All the pictures were taken from one location. We didn't stop any where else on the coast since so much time was spent at this location and because it gets dark around 5 and we wanted to see as much as possible.
The next day we did the Avenue of the Giants.Got some big trees and stumps there (picture's a little blurry since it was so dark in the forrest). Here's a shot of Jackie underneath an uprooted redwood. This tree had been hollowed out by a fire. There was about 6' diameter clearing inside and the tree was still alive. I didn't take a lot of pictures here since I had done the drive before. Click HERE for more shots of the Redwoods.
