About Us

That girl is HORSE CRAZY!

Adelynn Woodard became obsessed with horses at only two years old.  She'd watch movies about horses, wanted to hear stories about them and every unsuspecting back was a potential "ride." The day her mother bent over to pick up a shoe and Adelynn leaped on her back like a trick rider was the day she knew she needed to find an outlet for this horse crazed energy or else suffer serious back trouble.

A local stable was kind enough to let two year old Adelynn walk, brush and ride "Joanna" on a weekly basis. Neither rain nor freezing temperatures discouraged this toddler. Much to her mother's dismay, exposing Adelynn to horses did not satisfy the obsession but simply fueled it.

When Adelynn was four, she started riding Western and learned to run barrels. As a treat for her beloved "Flicka" she would prepare special homemade horse treats for the visit. These homemade treats were modified and perfected to a taste-tested recipe that was a hit with all the horses.
These nummy-yummy treats were named Neigh Nummies.

The entrepaner in Adelynn decided that these treats were good enough to sell and be shared with other horses.  Adelynn's mom was happy to help with the logistics of the business, like getting the treats laboratory tested, obtaining a commercial feed license from the State of Oklahoma and enlisting the help of a friend to design a logo that made Adelynn do cartwheels!

Adelynn, adopted from China at a year old, is passionate about helping homeless children and horses. She is the Co-Director of Inspiration for Packages of Hope, a nonprofit organization founded by her mother to provide needed supplies to children living in orphanages around the world, and she donates $1 from each pound of Neigh Nummies sold
to Blaze's Equine Rescue, a nonprofit organization that strives to improve the lives of neglected, starved and abused horses.

Now five years old and in kindergarten, Adelynn is proud to have "her own business" and is full of confidence and enthusiasm. Thank you for your support and for making a five year old cheer for joy with every order we receive!
