Most people are stupid. When you look around you and observe everyone's behavior, you will notice how stupid and unaware of everything everone is.
Survival instinct is the cause of all selfishness. People believe that by lowering the staus of other people, their own status is raised or considered to be better than the staus they caused to drop. You can see this change in status in many forms of meanness. Cheryl Noel says," It is fun to be mean to people I don't like, people I don't want to be friends with."
The point of life is to have fun. Different people have a diffeent idea of what fun is. People overcomed by selfishness think that being mean is fun. People with good values think that being helpful, friendly, and nice is fun. These people think it is best to make life better for themselves and everyone else, but mainly everyone else. "If everyone improves other people's lives, then other people will improve your own life." Unfortunately most people are not like that so this may be a good philosophy within a small group, but the larger the group is the less this applies. Still, it is good to have this philosophy even if others do not.
Point of Life
When you give someone else the label, " I don't like him," you have a different respect for him. You inflict unneccesary pains upon people who are not in your favor, making them a scapegoat. You blame problems on them and when they commit a small wrongdoing you consider it worse than a larger sin made by someone in your favor.
