These are  ahnentafel charts.  An ahnentafel is a listing of a person�s ancestors by generation, starting with the root person (myself  in this case) as the first generation.  You may notice some of the people are repeated, this is due to marriages within the same family and marriages between cousins.

The ahnentafel numbering system works like this:  to find an individual�s parents on the list multiply the individual�s number by two (father) and add one (mother).  For example, if you were looking at the sixth generation and wanted to find Cyrus Lomax�s parents you would first notice that Cyrus� number is 42.  Multiply 42 by 2 and you get 84, add 1 and you get 85.  If you look in the seventh generation, you�ll notice that #84 is Jonathan Lomax and #85 is Susanna Reiff, these are Cyrus Lomax�s parents.
