When Kitchie Benedicto and Maria Montelibano founded BROAD ASS in the College of Mass Communication seventy four semesters ago, it may have been unimaginable that their brainchild will grow up to be the most prestigious organization that it is now.
It's been thirty seven (37) years of hard-earned, well-deserved glory. A transformation that has itself been witness to the growth of its members from wide-eyed, dreamy college students to the likes of Senator Loren Legarda, Tessie Tomas, Maryo J. delos Reyes, Dodie Lacua, Ogie Alcasid, Raffy Barreiro, Sari Yap, Vicky Florendo, Luchi Cruz-Valdez and a host of others who went on to conquer the industry in their own little ways.
Today, reinforced by time, The UP-CMC Broadcasting Association has never been more ardent in its commitment of developing students' potentials in the broadcast communication media. BROAD ASS, more than any time in the tapestry of history, is rising to the vision of being the elite student production outfit which provides the best hands-on training for future mass communicators and standing to the perennial demands of competence and creativity, tightly embracing the challenges of times.
They say that people can lead only insofar as they have gone before. And now, more than ever, the unrivaled SUPREMACY of BROAD ASS contrinues.
