Jayson (Jays to his fans) is a senior BA Journalism student from the College of Mass Communication, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. He has taken core courses in journalism and communication, got 5 in his volleyball class because of (according to his insecured prof) maximum absences committed during the semester. In all his entire UP life, he only got 1.0 once, thanks to his Filipino 25 professor. But nevertheless, he is in good academic standing and as a matter of fact has been a College Scholar and University Scholar once. He traces his journalistic experience when he was assigned as the Editor-in-Chief of 'The Cultivator', the official secondary school publication of the Cavite State University Laboratory School Department in Indang, Cavite, where their adviser couldn't believe that he passed the qualifying exam because of allegedly good handwriting of the examinee. Goodness. |

The author, aside from taking units in Broadcast Journalism also got his training from the multi-awarded News Department of the GMA Network Incorporated, particularly their Television News Desk for the leading late night news program Saksi: Liga ng Katotohanan. He enjoyed his internship so much that he gave Goldilocks' mamon to the newsroom people when he ended the training. He is obsessed with so many things in UP. Among these are his organization and its cool resident members (i.e.BROAD ASS and the Assers), the mystery of the Carillon Tower, the new emblem of Cine Adarna (formerly UP Film Center), isaw across Kalayaan Residence Hall, his dorm Molave, janitors and guards in its buildings, and so many more. By the way, Jayson hopes to graduate next semester. That is, if he would pass all of his requirements this semester including his CWTS 1 which is actually 3 years due. |
