I am currently an Assistant Professor of Communication-Electronic
Media at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky. In
addition to teaching a 5/4 load, I also revamped the curriculum and
designed and coded Web pages for the Division of Humanities (one
of which you can view by clicking on this link). Before coming to
Campbellsville University, I studied at the University of Missouri Department
of Communication where I earned my Ph.D. Before that, I earned a Master
of Arts degree in communication at Indiana State University. At both
universities, my work focused upon the writing of MM Bakhtin as they relate
to the visual media.
(Click on the picture to go to the Bakhtin Center at the
University of Sheffield.) I am interested in Philosophy and The World Wide
Web Virtual Library: Philosophy is one of the best sources I have found for
philosophy on the web. I am also interested in television, particularly The
Simpsons. I tend toward music from the 1970's, including Chicago and Styx,
and folk music, especially Nanci Griffith.
