My Background in G W Basic

Hello! You're at the second page of my Geocities site! If you're just joining us, this is the site of the G W Basic company (well...it's not really a company, I just distribute G W Basic files that I wrote...I'm going to call it a company, though, so I don't have to write this over and over) Bona Fida Basic. Please goto my Terms and Conditions page @ Angelfire to learn about downloading programs. Terms and Conditions. I'm working on another site, which will include some stuff about building computers, which is the next thing I'm planning on doing. I seem to be moving on down the line: First I learned HTML, which uses computers, then I learned GW Basic, which commands computers (I'm thinking about Pascal and QBasic...) if you have any info about them, use the feedback form on the First Page.)
I dunno what to do with this page, so I guess I'll tell you a little about myself.
I started doing GWB when I was given a Tandy by a neighbor who didn't want it: He had been given it by his grandkids(?), and he already had a computer. So, he gave it to me. It was a typical Tandy: No hard drive (which, to me, at the time, was unheard of) and two drives; of the 8-1/4 inch size. I had a little software that came with it. It just so happened that another one of my neighbors also collected old electronic equipment, and knew DOS and GWB well. He taught me the language, and I was just coming along when I crashed the computer. I burned up the floppy drive with the infamous (and, apparently, existent) Y2K bug. Okay, I know you're saying that Y2K didn't do squat. Well, the government wasn't running on Tandys which were running on DOS, were they?
I havn't taken up programming again until recent years, when I decided to take up HTML, and that lead to GWB. I picked it up reallly quickly again, I was even supprised. By looking at a few of the programs I downloaded when I downloaded the GWBASIC.EXE file, and using a textbook exactly the wrong way (reading the first few chapters and then using the index when I had a question) wrote in about a week or two the programs you have on the first page.

BTW (by the way): I might just put the new page on Lycos instead of Tripod; I have trouble getting onto the site at home.
Sorry to sound like an advertisement, but Angelfire really is a great place to put your website. Okay, okay, that sounds a little odd out of the pages of a Geocities site, but, you know...
Now, don't get me wrong, the Geo has it's advantages, too. I can't list them right now, at the time of writing, I've just signed up. One thing is that it automatically tracks the visitors to my site. I did find a better tracker in an Angel's personal website, but, no matter.
