| ARTICLE 1 - NAME: The Association shall be ��JOINT SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY ASSOCIATION��, herein after referred to the Association. The Chinese name of the Association shall be �p�զa�z�Ƿ|. ARTICLE 2 - ADDRESS: The address of the Association shall be ��c/o Geographical, Geological & Archaeological Society, Hong Kong University Student��s Union, Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong��. ARTICLE 3 - OBJECTIVES: The Association shall be a non-profit, academic-oriented organization aiming at: 1. Stimulating interest in the subject of geography among students and the public; 2. Promoting friendship and cooperation among the members; 3. Bridging the gap between post-secondary a ARTICLE 4 - MEMBERSHIPS: 1. Qualification: a) Only corporate membership will be accepted. b) Membership shall be opened to the geography societies or their equivalence of the secondary schools and universities in Hong Kong, and also other educational institutions with geography course in Hong Kong. c) A new member will be accepted upon the approval of the Executive Committee and the payment of the full membership registration fee.nd secondary geographic education. 2. Representation: Each corporate member shall be represented by two to three representatives and one of them shall be the chief. 3. Privileges: a) Stand for election; b) Nominate or second a candidate for election and vote in the Association��s Annual Election of the Executive Committee. |
| CONSTITUTION |
| 4. Obligations: a) Abode by the Constitution of the Association; b) Abode by the resolution of the General Meeting; c) Members have to pay annual membership renewal fee; d) If a member fails to attend two General Meetings, the Honorary General Secretary will send to the member a letter, which requires a written explanation and suggests the member to change the representative(s) or to withdraw from the Association. If the member still fails to attend the next General Meeting, the membership will be automatically canceled upon the approval the executive Committee. 5. Registration: a) Each member shall be required to pay the registration fee of HK$80 (Hong Kong Dollar Eighty) to the Association for each session. b) At least one month before the Annual General Meeting, the Executive Committee shall be responsible to remind the old members to renew and re-register their membership if they wish to do so, and to invite new members to join the Association. c) New members will be recruited or invited at least 1 month before the annual general meeting ARTICLE 5 - SESSION: The session of the association shall commence on week after the annual General Meeting of each year and end at the sixth day after the Annual General Meeting of the next year. ARTICLE 6 - GOVERNMENT: 1. The direction of a General Meeting shall possess the highest authority in all matters concerning the Association. 2. The Executive Committee shall possess an authority second to the General Meeting. However, during the period when the General Meeting is not in session, the Executive Committee shall have the right to decide matters concerning the Association. |
