| How to bisect a line |
| How to bisect (Find the middle of) a line: 1 Get a compass (instrument used to draw circle). 2 Get the two points you want to bisect ("A" and "B"). 3 Put the compass on point "A". 4 Stretch the compass in the direction of the other point (point "B"). Make sure the compass point (point that draws) is past the rough middle of the two points. 5 Draw a light circle. 6 Without changing the angle of the compass, put the compass needle on point "B". 7 Draw a light circle. 8 You now should now have two circles that are crossing each other at two points. These are two important points. In the diagram below the rest of the circle has been rubbed out, so that only two points are left. |
