this is just a log of various engines i've seen since i started writing them down in early 2006...it's pretty rough looking now, i'll make it look better later

right now the format is this:

let's see how this turns out...most recent spottings first...any engines together (ie, the first one listed below), means the engines were connected

just a quick note, i heard some rumours today (15 December 2006) that Norfolk Southern will be discontinuing trains 327 and 328, which are Buffalo to St Thomas runs, at the end of December...so it's likely that I won't be seeing many more US engines (NS, UP, BNSF, anything non-CN) after that

UPDATE: Norfolk Southern ran the last of trains 327 and 328 on Saturday 30 December 2006.

at CN St Thomas, on the connection from the CN Talbot Sub to the CN Paynes Sub...I was fortunate enough to talk to the conductor, who told me they were going to be doing a bunch of yard work, then heading to Formet (eastbound on the CN Cayuga Sub from CN St Thomas), then heading back northbound on the CN Talbot Sub up to London...He also gave me permission to go onto the private property of CN St Thomas to take pictures of both the CN engines and the UP engines below...I was hoping to get a picture of the CN units going back northbound on the CN Talbot Sub as they passed under the Barwick Street bridge (where the connections from the CN Paynes Sub and the CN Cayuga Sub meet to form the CN Talbot Sub), but he advised it was going to be a while before they headed back northbound, and it was too cold for me to wait.

a quick note, the reasons there hasn't been anything listed at CN St Thomas since October 30th are that there is either nothing there when i go by (except a bunch of flatbed cars and lately some tank cars), or i haven't had time...I did walk by CN St Thomas on 20th November 2006 and there was 2 engines there, with at least 1 being Norfolk Southern, but it was too dark to really get any numbers
