The Lincoln Park All American Football Club was organized in 1954 and was a member of the Jack Lowther League composed of 11 teams. On April 19, 1956 Lincoln Park and four other clubs withdrew to form the All American Football League. In the two years Lincoln Park was in the Lowther League they were undefeated. In 1956 we received the Edwin J. Anderson Trophy for sportsmanship and made a trip to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where we lost to the southern team in the Small Fry Bowl. In 1957 they played host to a New Jersey team for our Shrimp Bowl Champions. In 1960 Lincoln Park added another unit in order to have more boys in the program. So this year, the same as last, the Shrimp Bowl will be played between three Bear teams and three Cat teams in November. In 1973, Lincoln Park withdrew from the All American Football League and joined the Downriver Football League. In 1984, three Bear teams and three Cat teams combined to become the Lincoln Park Jr. Rails.
