| ____________________________________________________________________________ The Next Pages... The Learning Activities, Instruction Sheet(s), Self-Check, and Self-Check Answer Key pages repeat for Enabling Objective #2, then #3, etc., as needed. ____________________________________________________________________________ Next... Performance Standards / Performance Test The performance standards indicate in writing how well the task is to be performed. The performance standards relate to the task, and not the enabling objectives. Remember: they, like the task itself, are performance more than knowledge. The addition of a yes/no check box following each performance standard turns it into a performance test. This means that this single page meets the approval criteria for a CBVE curriculum for one task. It also means that a complete curriculum would require AT LEAST one of these pages for EACH task in the task listing. Finally... Resources Page This page is the bibliography and materials list page for this learning guide. Teacher sources should be included (in APA format), as well as any materials that need to be aquired before the learning guide is turned into lesson plans. At this stage, the Learning Guide is intended for the use of the teacher. With some modifications it could be used for the student...the ultimate case of individualized instruction. Why isn't there an answer key for the performance test? The instructor watches the student perform the task and successfully checks items on the checkboxes. This is the administration of the test. The performance standards are written so that they can only be checked off when they are performed successfully. Hence, a little bit of Mastery Learning. |
