Pace Security was first formed in 1990 and finished trading in 1996. As Director of Operations and Security Operative Class 1 (A,B,E) and Class 3 Security Consultant my clients varied from government institutions to the private sector as a facilitator for training personnel in coping and controlling security related situations.
The course was adopted by the Office Of Juvenile Justice in dealing with difficult and violent residents. You will find a lot of the content including that area of security focusing on minimal force. Many private security companies and industries dealing with aggressive and violent client behaviours have attended this course in the past. The program was designed to give you an understanding of how conflict resolution and passive restraint work in the varying environments experienced by security type personnel. We look at the philosophy, awareness, prevention and control of `managing conflict and violent behaviour'. The course notes contain a series of examples, instruction and methods of dealing with difficult people. These notes and examples can be used after the course as a reference base on applying the various techniques.
The following documentation was prepared by myself to meet that requirement. Since Pace Security has ceased trading I felt the need to publish this information on the world wide web.
This publication and the techniques taught in the workshop are designed to provide safe and effective methods for the efficient management of difficult behaviours.
While every care is taken in the preparation and presentation of the workshop, Pace Security cannot anticipate user application in particular operating environments.
For this reason no liability is accepted by Pace Security or the author on any action of the user.
