Welcome to J.R. Hood Ltd. We are a friendly family firm, based in Driffield, East Yorkshire. We offer services to local businesses based on a long experience of farmers' requirements in bulk haulage, supplies of hay,straw and wood shavings. The two family firms have a joint experience of more than eighty years. J.R. Hood started in road haulage in 1957 with an ex-army Bedford QL. N. Sissons commenced trading in 1969 as an owner-driver. Following the marriage of Mike and Jill the companies also 'married' and now operate from this one site in rural East Yorkshire.
