Detective Kenner- Dolph Lundgren! Tough L.A. cop that was born in Japan. Many years ago his parents were killed by Yoshida. Once Kenner discovers that Yoshida lives in Los Angeles, all bets are off. Kenner kicks, punches, shoots, stabs, and slashes his way through the Yakuza until his final showdown (in Little Tokyo) with Yoshida.

Johnny Murata- Brandon Lee! Wise cracking partner of Detective Kenner. Though he's much smaller and not made of brick (I'm engaging in a hyperbole to make a point) he helps Kenner kick some Yakuza ass!

Yoshida- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa! An evil Yakuza druglord who's trying to spread ice (an exremely addictive and deadly Asian drug) throughout the U.S. Everything is going as planned until Kenner and Murata come on the scene. Sadly Yoshida dies at the hands of Kenner during their showdown (in Little Tokyo).

Minako- Tia Carrera! Club singer that is kidnapped and forcibly raped by Yoshida. Since she was so wronged, she tries committing ritual suicide. Luckily Kenner arrives to save the day and whisks her away to his little Japanese home hidden somewhere in the Hollywood Hills(?). To thank him she grants him the pleasures of the flesh. But one question remains. Was that really Tia Carrera's naked body or or a "stunt doubles?"

Sato- Toshir� Obata! Yoshida's right hand henchman. During a fight with Johnny, Sato is sent reeling into a vat of flammable chemicals. As if that wasn't bad enough, Johnny decides to throw a lit cigarette lighter into the vat, thus turning Sato into a burning ember.

Angel- Minako's slutty, drug using friend. She crosses Yoshida and pays the price. As he fondles her ample chest from behind, he decapitates her with a samurai sword.

Yoshida's Yakuza henchmen- They're all beaten to a pulp and/or killed by Kenner and Murata.

This is probably Dolph's best movie to date. It's got a lot going for it like an all star cast. Though it's true cheesiness shines through, that makes the movie even more fun to watch. After the opening credits, complete with close ups of muscular bodies covered with tattoos, it cuts to a kickboxing ring where two small Asians are beating the hell out of one another. Moments later, Detective Kenner bursts in through a window above the ring and crashes the party. A melee soon breaks out as some Yakuza goons show up and start shooting up the place.
The next day, as Kenner enjoys a cup of tea in a Tokyo Tea House [snicker], those same Yakuza goons, led by Sato, show up. They bully the old lady that runs the place until Kenner steps in and kicks some ass. You know, it's funny. The Yakuza goons can move pretty damn fast, much faster than Dolph, yet he doesn't get a scratch on him. Along with his ability to dodge bullets, I still press my theory that Dolph has an invisible shield (or something to that effect) that protects him from harm. Anway, at that exact moment, Johnny Murata shows up and starts brawling with Kenner, mistaking him for the bad guy. While they duke it out, the Yakuza escape. They soon discover they are both cops, and get this ... partners! (DOH!)
But all is not lost my friends. Kenner successfully knocked out one of those Yakuza wimps and brings him in for questioning. This is where Kenner learns that the Iron Claw branch of the Yakuza is in L.A. While he talks to Johnny, their suspect breaks his own neck! Let that be a lesson to those who enjoy cracking their own neck (myself included). Go too far and "SNAP!" it's all over. By now, we've finally met the movie's bad guy, Yoshida. And he's pretty bad, putting mannequins ... er ... I mean competitors into a car crushing apparatus, killing busty blonde hookers, and spreading drugs across the U.S. of A. He also decides to rape Minako, the beautiful singer at his newly acquired night club.
Apparently this act was so degrading that Minako decided to commit suicide. And she would've gotten away with it too had it now been for Kenner. He bursts in to Yoshida's house, kills nine Yakuza henchmen, and escapes with Minako, completely unscathed! And oh yeah, it turns out that Kenner's parents were murdered by Yoshido many years ago in Japan. Kenner witnessed the whole thing and once he sees Yoshida's face and tattoos, those haunting flashbacks start popping up. After Kenner's rescue, he, Johnny, and Minako hide out in a Japanese style house hidden deep in the wild forests of Los Angeles. This is where the nudity in question arises (as well as Dolph's ... ewww ... nevermind that!). Was that really Tia Carrera making the beast with two backs with Dolph Lundgren?! Though I've heard (and seen quite plainly) that it was a stand-in, I'm still in denial.
Not too long after Minako and Kenner reach coitus, the Yakuza arrive and surround the place. Though Johnny and Kenner are kicking ass and taking names, they give up after Minako is captured (damn it, the Yakuza always fight dirty!). After the aforementioned siege, our heroes are taken to a warehouse where they are tortured. As jolts of electricity are sent through their bodies, Kenner and Murata still keep their sense of humor. Yoshida stays for a bit gloating on how he's won and such, then goes outside. Naturally, after he leaves, our two heroes escape. As they attempt to leave the warehouse, they are trapped in their car and put on a conveyor belt that leads to a nasty set of grinding wheels. They escape from their predicament in the nick of time and make their way to Yoshida's Red Dragon Brewery.
They crash through the front gate of the brewery with a stolen truck and drive into the brewery itself, breaking up a huge drug deal. The two then come out of the wrecked truck with their AK-47's blasting. They take out pretty much all of those crazy Yakuza henchmen with their guns, leaving only Sato and Yoshida. Johnny goes after Sato and ends up tossing the bald Yakuza into a vat of flammable chemicals. Johnny lights his cigarette lighter, says "... you have the right to be dead," and tosses said lighter into the vat, thus incinerating Sato. In the meantime, Kenner must save Minako from being blown up. She's tied to a gas pump that has a gasoline trail leading up to it.
Yoshida sets the gas on fire and runs off (wow didn't see that coming! Did you?!), leaving Kenner to save his beloved Minako. Kenner succeeds in rescuing her, and goes after Yoshida. They run through a parade (why is this parade going on? Can anyone tell me?) where they have their final showdown (in Little Tokyo! Ok that's the last time I'm saying that! Sorry folks!). A few men dressed as feudal samurais with REAL SHARPENED SAMURAI SWORDS just happen to be nearby! See where this is going don't ya? That's right! Kenner and Yoshida steal said swords and battle to the death.
Though Yoshida nearly wins after cheating and moving faster than the mountain of beef known as Dolph, he ends up dying. Not only is he impaled with a sword, but he's then tacked onto a large spinning firecracker. So not only is he slowly dying from a mortal wound, but he's also turned into a giant party favor (adding insult to injury)! After all is said and done, Kenner, Murata, and Minako walk away as the crowd around them bows. As they stroll away, Johnny and Kenner discuss what they're putting in their police report. How do you explain blowing up the crime scene, killing all the suspects, and joining the local parade? Well Community Relations of course!

Johnny: "We're gonna nail this guy. And when we get done, we're gonna go eat fish off those naked chicks!"

Johnny: "Kenner, just in case we get killed, I wanted to tell you ... you've got the biggest dick I've ever seen."

Minako: (After Kenner reaches orgasm) "That time, I heard you coming."

Johnny: "What are we gonna call this in the police report?"
Kenner: "How about Community Relations?"
Johnny: "So we blew up the crime scene, killed the suspects..."
Kenner: "And joined the local parade."
Johnny: "I like it."
