Leonard Miller- Frustrated artist of the hit comic book, "Robot Ninja," the biggest superhero since Batman (who is technically not a superhero due to his lack of super powers!). After witnessing a brutal double rape-murder, he exacts vigilante justice as the "Robot Ninja." After slicing and dicing some thugs, getting beaten nearly to death numerous times, and overdosing on prescription medicines, he commits suicide.

Dr. Goodknight- Leonard's friend, and inventor. He creates the Robot Ninja costume for Len. He then has the barrel of a gun shoved through his eye, and receives two bullets in the head, courteousy of Sanchez.

Sanchez- Leader of a gang of thugs. She's pretty tough, and always gets the best of Lenny. Ends up getting shot to death by a police officer.

Revelle and Scully- Sanchez' two main henchmen. Both meet a horrible end, at the hands of the "Robot Ninja."

Random Thugs- Two are slashed up by Leonard, the others are killed by cops for "resisting arrest."

Stanley- Burt Ward! That's right folks, Robin from the original Batman and co-star to Adam West. He publishes Leonard's comic books, and syndicates the "Robot Ninja" for day-time T.V. He's in about 6 or 7 minutes of film.

When glancing at the cover of this movie, I assumed that it was going to be an action packed, sci-fi, martial arts free for all. I was sorely mistaken. This movie had so many things wrong with it. The lighting was terrible, it was extremely hard to see most of the scenes. The acting was by far the worst I have seen in quite a long time. The only saving grace in that department was Burt Ward. Then there's the gore factor. This movie has more than enough blood for those who are into that kind of thing. The only problem is how badly most of it's done. Along with the bad soundtrack and boring "action" scenes, this movie became an exceptionally painful viewing experience.
The film opens with Leonard, complaining to the director of the hit T.V. show, "Robot Ninja." The show is based on Leonard's violent comic book hero, the Robot Ninja, and is constantly compared to the popularity of Batman, time and time again. Leonard is congratulated by two security guards who are watching the show, which causes him to throw a fit and their T.V. Cut to opening credits with scenes of what seems to be the movie's story board. After the opening credits we are treated to a youngcouple who have waited a year just to have sex. As they exchange boring wooden dialogue, they leave the restaraunt they were in, only to be kidnapped by Sanchez and her thugs.
As Sanchez and Revelle rape the young couple, the van breaks down. Leonard happens to be driving by and pulls over, phones the police and then goes to save the day. He fails miserably and the young woman ends up getting shot in the back three times. Leonard is roughed up and watches helplessly as the young man he tried to save gets stabbed in the throat and shot six times. Luckily the police arrive in time to save Leonard. Well Leonard comes up with this outrageous idea....why doesn't he don the costume of the Robot Ninja? He can make sure these criminals won't hurt anyone else. So with the help of his reluctant friend Dr. Goodknight, Leonard becomes his comic book persona.
Lenny is all hyped up about this, and begins taking some pills to stay awake. He goes out the very night that his suit is finished and finds Sanchez and the others at "Video World." Those evil crooks rob the place, kill the clerk, and take a young boy and his sister hostage. Len kills Revelle quickly, with two swift stabs into Revelle's chest and eye sockets. All I can say about that is...OUCH! So everyone else runs off as the police arrive. The next day Dr. Goodknight visits Leonard and tells him to stop this whole charade! Len knocks the good doctor over, causing the kind fellow to leave, and goes out again the next evening and meets up with Sanchez and four other thugs.
Len takes out one of them but gets tackled by the rest. He manages to slice the hand off another thug, but the others just beat him to a bloody pulp. Sanchez stabs him in the arm, and along with the others, tries to haul Len off. Len kicks Scully in the crotch and starts to escape. He doesn't get far before Sanchez shoots him twice. Then the cops arrive and thwart everything again. Len makes it back to Dr. Goodknight's place and "fixes" himself up a bit. Apparently rubber tubing can substitute for veins and arteries. Anywho, Dr. Goodknight arrives the next day and discovers blood all over his workshop. As he runs upstairs, he's sent rolling back down by Sanchez. She followed Len to Goodknight's house, and mistook the doc for the Robot Ninja (even though he has no cuts or bruises.)
Goodknight refuses to tell Sanchez of Lenny's whereabouts and has the barrel of a gun shoved through his right eye. Sanchez then proceeds to pull the trigger twice. OUCH AGAIN! In the meantime, Len is drawing up a comic for what may happen next (apparently he has the ability to draw exactly what will happen in the future). He hasn't slept for a couple days and is on a heavy drug regiment which accounts for his hallucinations. Leonard goes to the Doc's house and discovers the corpse of the doctor along with a letter saying, "Robot Ninja F*@ker Meet at Junkyard." Leonard then accepts this polite invitation and goes to the junkyard. Little does he know that he's being pursued by a police officer.
Leonard goes to the junkyard and soon kills Scully, with a stab to the leg and then to the forehead. An officer arrives in the junkyard, only to be run down by Sanchez's van. Things look grim for Lenny as he meets up with, and battles Sanchez. She tries to run away, but is shot three times by a cop. Leonard runs off and is followed by the cop, and struggles to get to his apartment. Leonard crawls onto his bed, pulls out the gun he took from Scully, and kills himself. Of course the police officer tailing him arrives too late. And so Leonard achieved his revenge (tragically) and has a posthumous career, now that his Robot Ninja comic was published by Stanley (Burt you are a greedy insensitive bastard in this movie). Then the movie ends with 8 minutes of credits that are more entertaining than the movie itself.

Hostage: "Who are you?"
Robot Ninja: "I am the Robot Ninja...and remember kids, drugs aren't cool."

Leonard: "Good night Goodknight."
