My Rating:

Dr. Burns- Scientist who's trying to make a serum that conrols aggression, that's why he created Seth. After the beast kills his daughter, Doc Burns seeks vengeance against his creation.

Brad Kagan- Local town doctor who helps the others to track down and kill Seth. After Seth devours his father, Brad vows revenge. He gives the serpent a flying drop-kick in the final conflict. He helps contain Seth in a tube and then gases the beast.

Joan- Female police officer who's in a loving relationship with Brad, even though he is leaving the small town and going to the big city (without her). She helps trap and incapacitate Seth at the end.

The Sheriff and his Deputy- Both are trapped inside a police cruiser and then are pumped full of venom.

Dr. Hosh- Pat Morita! A herpatologist (he's a snake expert, not a Herpes expert) who is called in to take care of Seth. He seems to have the upper hand while battling Seth but ends up getting at least a dozen bites. Sadly...he dies.

Seth- A genetically spliced snake that is half African King Cobra and half Diamondback Rattlesnake. He's fast, he's furious, and his bite is fatal.

Ah... finally a decent movie. Starring Pat Morita and featured special guest (how can a movie have a special guest?) Eric Estrada! The movie opens with Dr. Burns working on a serum that will control aggression. One of his assistants decides that it's time to take a risk, and mixes a little too much of everything. The serum explodes and kills two lab assistants. Doc Burns runs into the lab and gets to his daughter who had just been bitten by Seth. Skip ahead two years later, and we're at a small town about to celebrate BREWFEST! This is when we meet Brad and Joan, two young people in love. Brad is moving to the "big city" and wants Joan to come with him.
Well his plans are delayed once dead bodies start popping up. They discover early on that it's a snake that's been knocking off the townsfolk but the stubborn mayor won't stop BREWFEST on account of it. But that all changes after Harry's father becomes a light snack for Seth. Upon hearing of a strange anti-venom order, Dr. Burns arrives in the town. And later on, Dr. Hosh is called in to help sort matters out. While this is going on, more people die! One thing that still bugs me is that the damn snake only ate Brad's father. Why didn't it eat the spicy latin couple who played drunken, partially nude, hide-and-seek?
Anyways Dr. Hosh, Dr. Burns, Joan, Brad, and the rest of the local law enforcement attempt to kill Seth. The Sheriff and his Deputy have a run-in with Seth and are taken out rather easily. Then the remaining others set a trap for the venomous serpent. Things are working out well until Dr. Burns tries to shoot Seth with a shotgun. The huge snake slithers off quickly with the others in pursuit. Seth hides and then strikes out at Dr. Burns who is luckily saved when Brad anti-venom. Dr. Hosh faces off with Seth with large snake handling tools. On top of that, Hosh has an immunity to powerful snake venom, and is sporting a stylish pair of goggles. Despite all of this, Seth's venom eventually kills him.
Joan comes running to Hosh's rescue, firing her pistol like crazy. She runs out of bullets and is trapped between Seth and a hard tree. Brad comes running to the rescue; cue the shot of Brad doing a FLYING DROPKICK right into Seth. Then Brad leads Seth into a huge tube trap, which he and Joan then push up against a tree to prevent their foe from escaping. They turn the gas on... end of Seth. So then we see them sitting outside a small restaraunt in town. As they're talking, Dr. Burns sits down with them. Just as Burns and Joan say they're glad it's all over, Seth pops up behind them. Oh... thank god, it was all a dream. Brad wakes up and realizes that Seth is dead. But guess what? Seth isn't dead, the gas in the tube was sleeping gas.

Brad: "So what caused the accident?"
Dr. Burns: "My lack of people skills."

Dr. Hosh: "Japanese were not built to run, we were built to last."
