Welcome to my
Home Page
My name is John Frick and I have many interests. I'm a musician by profession and currently play trumpet, fluglehorn, keyboards, and background vocals with the beach/variety band "Second Nature". I'm also the choir director/organist/pianist at Beulah & Oak Grove United Methodist Churches in Blythewood, S.C. I also play a little trombone, guitar, banjo, tin whistle, etc. at varying degrees of talent. I was a musictheory/composition and performance major at USC and still enjoy writing and arranging music.
I've been a collector of World War II Army Air Corps memorabilia since 1992 and have amassed an impressive collection. My main collecting interest is in memorabilia from South Carolina military bases and items that belonged to those killed in action. I display parts of my collection at air shows, reunions, etc. I have also flown on many vintage aircraft including 1929 Stinson Tri-motor, 1930 Waco biplane,  1939 DC-3, 1941 Piper Cub, 1941 Stearman biplane, BT-13 World War II trainer, B-17 "Flying Fortress", B-24 "Liberator", B-29 "Superfortress", and 1946 Aeronca Champ.
I also enjoy riding my motorcycles and currently have a 1999 Honda 750 ACE and a customized 2000 Yamaha V-Star custom. My V-Star is painted like a World War II bomber. I have made several trips to the mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia and to the beaches of Charleston and Myrtle Beach, S.C. in the last 2 years camping with my bike.
Among my other interest are antiques, crafts, juggling, and the list goes on..........
