This shot of the old Caspar Lumber office building was taken on Saturday, October 21, 2000. This building used to have a second floor. Refer to Ted Wurm's book Mallets on the Mendocino Coast for contemporary picutes.

I have a Kodak 290 digital camera that takes incredible pictures for both web and prints. It is not cheap, but I think that, given the quality, it was well worth it.
This photo was also taken on Saturday, October 21, 2000. Caspar Creek is flowing thru the ruins; we are looking generally east, the Pacific Ocean is to our backs. I have not been able to identify what building was the brick foundation in the foreground.
