| November 10, 2000 Issues discussed: 1. The name and content of a quarterly PSWD-JOOI newsletter. Name decided: "en'-jooi". 2. How to motivate JOOI clubs to turn in their dues on time. All advisors and sponsors whose addresses were given to district board by international office were mailed a letter notifying them that membership fees were due and to encourage their participation in unifying the district. 3. Annual convention was briefly discussed and the decision to make it weekend-long was unanymous. |
| January 6, 2001 Issues discussed: 1. The location of the annual convention. All officers wanted to hold it with PSWD's May quarterly in Bakersfield. 2. If this does not work out with the Optimist district board, then the convention may be held for only one day at Balboa Park in Van Nuys. 3. A pre-convention meeting will be held on Saturday, February 24, to discuss the convention and other district issues. All JOOI/Optimist members are invited, but please RSVP [email protected] so that in case it rains we can warn you that the meeting is canceled. |
