SCRAP METAL

Scrap is a term used to describe waste metal. Old, unwanted metal such as parts of vehicles, building supplies, and surplus materials, are taken to a wrecking yard (known colloquially as scrapyards), where they are processed for later melting into new products.

We specialise in the buying and selling of non-ferrous and ferrous metals. Through years of experience we have gained a vast knowledge of the different grades of materials such as copper, brass, bronze and aluminium.

FERROUS & NON-FERROUS METALS

One method of classifying metals is by their content, and one common division is into ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. The term ferrous is derived from the Latin "Ferrum" which means "containing iron", thus ferrous metals contain iron and non ferrous metals do not. Ferrous metals may be pure iron, like wrought iron, or they may be alloys of iron and other elements. Steel, being an alloy of iron and carbon, would therefore be a ferrous metal.

Ferrous metals are often magnetic, but this property is not in and of itself sufficient to classify a metal as ferrous or non-ferrous. Austenitic stainless steel, a ferrous metal, is non-magnetic, while cobalt is magnetic but non-ferrous.

Common ferrous metals include the various irons and steels. Common non-ferrous metals include aluminum, tin, copper, zinc, and brass, an alloy of copper and zinc. Some precious metals such as silver, gold, and platinum are also non-ferrous.

Non-ferrous metals by definition do not contain iron while ferrous metals do. Ferrous metals are usually magnetic, although SOME non-ferrous metals are also magnetic.

Payment terms: 100% confirmed LC or 20% advance on order confirmation and balance by T/T on copy of BL

ZINC DIE CAST MIX SCRAP

Attachments will be 15 to 20%

Material will be dust, wood and other impurities

Quantity: 100-200mt per month

Weight : We only load this in 20 ft container and approx weight is around 20mt (+/- 10%)

Lead time from order to shipment is normally 10 to 5 days.

Load port: Cotonou, Benin

Price: 70 % of LME on CFR basis; (This is approx price kindly mail to [email protected] for today’s price)

Payment terms: 100% confirmed LC or 20% advance on order confirmation and balance by T/T on copy of BL.

COPPER RODS & COPPER CATHODES

We are supplying copper rods & copper cathodes from south africa. We are the direct exporter. We have tied up with mines which is LME registered. The port of loading is durban. We can supply 1000 mt per month.Deatils of copper cathodes follows :

PMC Brand Electrolytic Copper Cathodes, LME registered Grade � A cathode, conforming to the Seller�s production specification, which is based on the BS EN 1978:1998 (cathode grade designation Cu-CATH-1 (CR001A)). The cathodes each weigh approximately 130 to 140 kilograms and have a thickness of approximately 12 mm to 18 mm. Height approximately 95 cm. Width approximately 97,5 cm. The cathodes shall be strapped in bundles of 21 to 24 cathodes, each bundle weighing approximately 2,920 kg. Material is identified by �PMC� (clipped) onto the strapping. Bundles are also labeled by writing on the uppermost cathode with a white marker, giving: - bundle number, number of cathodes in bundle, date of production and weight of bundle.

Price : price will be as per lme price with usd 100 pmt discount for copper cathodes & usd 150 pmt discount for copper rods.

Please note that the price of copper rods are always higher by usd 500 - usd 600 pmt than copper cathodes.

For scarp metals, We don't work with LOI/BCL any more, as we are the yard owners. If you or your buyer agrees to buy, we expect to receive their Purchase Order & it must be faxed or emailed to us.
