I was born and raised in Plaquemine, Louisiana.  Plaquemine is a small town located about 15 miles south of Baton Rouge, LA on the west bank of the Mississippi River.  I attended St. John High School.  I graduated from high school in 1996 with 36 other students, we were a very small high school.  After high school I enrolled in the University of Southwestern Louisiana, later renamed "University of Louisiana of Lafayette."  After four and a half years, I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December of 2000 with a B.S. in chemical engineering .  I have a real love for the outdoors, which is why it is not a big surprise that I enjoy fishing and hunting.  I also enjoy lifting weights, it gives me a means of releasing any tension or stress in my life.  My favorite thing to do is travel.  I enjoy seeing and experiencing new things in life.  I have not been able to travel as much as I would like so far in life, but with a college budget, who can.  I have been to Cancun, Mexico, Washington D.C., Ohio, Tennessee, South and North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Puerto Rico, Aruba, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, Curacao, Texas, Colorado, and California.  I have plans to travel to Europe after finishing my Ph.D. at Texas A&M.  The pictures below are places I have recently visited with friends.
