Behaviours
The following are some of the behaviours and the intervention methods I used. Please note that as all students are different, these methods will not work for everyone, or may not even be suitable.

Drawing on walls with a marker
2 different methods or a combination of both - (1) over-correction, (2) pasting a large sheet of paper on the wall where he may write on.

Spitting
I used over-correction ie the student had to wipe the saliva repeatedly with a clothe.

Attention-seeking behaviour (eg running away)
I provided the student with a lot of attention (verbal praises) constantly. Initially, I praised her every minute for just about anything. Even if she wasn't doing anything in particular, I created an excuse for praising her eg "good sitting", "good walking", "you look pretty today". It really worked!!!  This intervention method has been the most useful one so far and can be used successfully to decrease many types of inappropriate behaviours.

Refusal to brush teeth
I brought my own toothbrush and brushed my teeth together with my students.

Inability/refusal to gargle after brushing teeth
I made it a fun activity by exagerating my facial expressions and making loud noises as I gargled.
