LOVEPARADE NEWS >>>LOVEPARADE DEMONSTRATION: 10TH OF JULY 2004 AT THE SIEGESSAULE IN BERLIN, 16:30HR <<< 14-06-2004 -FIGHT THE POWER DEMONSTRATION- The official demonstration for clubculture and the return of Loveparade will be held at the Ku'Damm (Adenaurplatz) at 16:30hr. This is the place where Loveparade took place until 1995. 14-05-2004 -NO LOVEPARADE!!!- Loveparade 2004 will NOT take place. They were not able to find a sponsor. The city may hope for a Loveparade 2005, but what the real future of Loveparade will be unsure. 05-05-2004 -ONLY 500.000 EURO NEEDED- According to some sources the amount still needed to finance the Loveparade has been reduced to 500.000 Euro. This is 200.000 Euro less than last week. The Senat of Berlin is still talking to sponsors. Planetcom has started to hire new people because of the recent developments. 05-05-2004 -HIGH CHANCES LP WILL TAKE PLACE- Harald Wolf (senator) and Loveparade/Planetcom are trying everything they can to make the event happen. But also other parties are doing their part: Berlin Messe are willing to do the catering again, the clubs in Berlin will all organize parties and raves like Lovestern Galaktika and LoveBase are confirmed. If the Loveparade take place, the senator fears the quality may not be as good as the past events because of the shorter time left between now and the 10th of July. 03-05-2004 -LATEST DEADLINE 5TH OF MAY- S�nje von Ahn (LP) says both they and the Berlin Senat are still looking for partners/sponsors. A speaker for the Senat says there is some hope but no concrete news. They are working under pressure to make Loveparade 2004 possible. Von Ahn: "we will know more by wednesday" 28-04-2004 -ALBA POSSIBLESPONSOR- The Berlin based recycling and service company Alba will possibly sponsor the Loveparade. Alba has already partnerships with the Berlin Basketball team and a hospital. 28-04-2004 -LOVEPARADE KEYCHAINS FOR SALE- The online store for 'Save the Loveparade' keychains is now online. They cost 9,99 Euro of which 3 Euro will go to the Loveparade. In case the Loveparade won't take place, the money will be given to 'Machen & Tun' who are organizing the Back to the Roots demonstration. A speaker from Loveparade GmbH told the ravers they don't wanna support this initiative. 26-04-2004 -PLANETCOM CHIEF OPTIMISTIC- Ralf Regitz from Planetcom is optimistic about Loveparade 2004 taking place: "we are doing everything to save the parade!". Possibly the Loveparade will be saved this week! 26-04-2004 -RAVERS WANT TO SAVE LOVEPARADE- Some ravers startet an Ebay auction with keychain saying 'Ich bin ein Retter' (i'm a saviour). From every keychain sold 3 Euro will go to the Loveparade. In case the Loveparade wont take place the money will be used to finance the 'Back to the Roots' demonstration at the Tiergarten. Later this week an internet shop will be opened to sell these orange keychains. 26-04-2004 -NO OFFICIAL NEWS UNTIL WEDNESDAY- Loveparade GmbH is still talking to sponsors to make Loveparade 2004 possible. Deutsche Bahn (German railways) is one of the options. At the same time they are trying to reduce costs and work on a lower budget. 26-04-2004 -RUMOURS- It seems like there will be a Loveparade this year, officially or not. DJ Dean from the Tunnel Truck says he's positive about the event taking place. Ravers United on the other hand told they will drive a soundtruck throught the Tiergarten, regardless the result of the talks. Ravers from all over the world are announcing they are going to Berlin and will join the demonstration at the Siegessaule if the official Loveparade doesn't take place. Under the motto 'back to the roots' thousands of people are expected. 22-04-2004 -SUCCESS TALKS BERLIN AND LOVEPARADE- According to local radio Berlin and Loveparade are trying to reach an agreement on how to finance the event: approximately 700.000 Euro has still to be found. The chances of Loveparade 2004 taking place is on the rise. 22-04-2004 -ONE WEEK UNTIL MAYDAY- Germany's biggest indoor techno event will take place next week in Dortmund. Mayday will be live broadcasted on radio and television. 25.000 people will party from 6pm until 10am in the morning. This year's team is 'Team X-treme'. 17-04-2004 -ANONYMOUS RAVER ALTERNATIVE- According to Einslive Radio, an anonymous techno fan has done a request at the Berlin police to have a demonstration called "a parade against selling commercialism to save the Loveparade". If the Loveparade will definitely not be happening, this demonstration take take place. Rumours say someone at Planetcom/Loveparade GmbH is behind this. 17-04-2004 -LOVERADIO WILL TAKE PLACE- The all weekend broadcast from Cafe Schonbrunn at the Volkspark Friedrichshain will return. Paul van Dyk, Westbam, M�rtini Br�s und Moonbootica have been confirmed. 16-04-2004 -LOVEPARADE 2005- A marketing agency will help find sponsors for the 2005 edition of Loveparade. They offered their serives to Loveparade GmbH. According to Friedrich-Leopold von Stechow (Partners for Berlin) it's unfortunately to late to do anything for this year's event. 15-04-2004 -DR.MOTTO SCEPTIC- In an interview with local radio RBB Dr.Motte announced he didn't think Loveparade 2004 will be taking place. Motte (real name: Matthias Roeingh) does not think Berlin and Planetcom/Loveparade GmbH will reach an agreement in the next two weeks. Motte they can't wait any longer as Loveparade would take some time to organize. 15-04-2004 -STUTTGART WANTS LOVEPARADE- Plans are being made in different German regions to organize the Loveparade when Berlin is cancelled. Stuttgart, Dusseldorf & Hamburg are willing to have the honour. Cities like Dusseldorf have a lot of experience with public street parties; the carneval parades in februari attract thousands of people. The city of Cologne is willing to have the Loveparade if they were asked to. 15-04-2004 -MAYOR BERLIN WANTS LOVEPARADE- The Mayor of Berlin (Klaus Wowereit) supports the Loveparade and the Senat will do anything to make it happen in 2004, but he can't ensure any financial security. Wowereit says the Senat and Planetcom/Loveparade will keep on talking about the money issues this and maybe even coming week. 14-04-2004 -OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED- A press statement (in English) has been put on the official Loveparade website. They explain why it's impossible at this moment to organize the Loveparade this year. 14-04-2004 -TALKS WITHOUT POSITIVE RESULT- Negotiations between Loveparade GmbH and the City of Berlin did not have the result we were all been waiting for. Berlin is not willing to accept a possible loss of 500.000 Euro like last year. Loveparade GmbH on the other hand will never allow the event to be anything but free. Selling tickets for the Loveparade is against it's principles. Merchandise, advertisement and catering should be the only sources of income. A speaker from the organization even announced that the parade won't take place, but Harald Wolf (PDS) says both parties will talk again this friday. 13-04-2004 -SITE UPDATED- 3 months until Loveparade. www.loveparade.tk will be dayly updated from now on. 12-04-2004 -LOVE FROM ABOVE / LOVEBASE- Even if Loveparade 2004 is cancelled, some parties will still take place. Lovebase had 10000 visitors last year, Love from Above around 6000. The full line-ups for both parties are available at their websites. 12-04-2004 -LOVEPARADE IN TROUBLE- Loveparade GmbH announced that if the city of Berlin does not help finance the parade this year, the 2004 edition will be canceled. Last year the Messe Berlin sponsored the event but had to suffer a loss of 500.000 euro. The city will have to make a decission before the end of tuesday (tomorrow) 18-01-2004 -MAYDAY 2004- Mayday will take place on April 30th at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. Line-up: Westbam, Paul van Dyk, Jeff Mills, Moguai, Chris Liebing, Tomcraft, Ferry Corsten and many others. 17-01-2004 -DR.MOTTE INTERVIEW- In an interview with Germany newspaper The Morgenpost Dr.Motte is optimistic about Loveparade 2004. Although they need 600.000 Euro as their partner Messe Berlin has quit the cooperation, Motte thinks Loveparade will survive. 28 Lovetrucks, 260 000m2 dancefloor, 10-07-2003 -TIERGARTEN FENCED- This year the drinks will be a bit more expensive. For the first time there will be a fence put around the Tiergarten park. This will be done to prefend the illegal sale of bottles and cans. By doing this, the amount of trash will be reduced which makes cleaning up a lot faster and cheaper. The fence will have a length of 4600 meter, the 50 gates to the park will be guarded by 300 security people. Getting into the park to relax will not be a problem though: it's fully accessable from the Strasse des 14. Juni. 10-07-2003 -750.000 VISITORS EXPECTED- A speaker of Loveparade GmbH told they expect around 750.000 people to show up at the 15th edition of this event. Ralf Regitz, co-organizer, even thinks it will be less than that. Both agree it's better when it's not too crowded: there will be more space to dance! 10-07-2003 -POLICE CONTROLS TRAFFIC- Police from Brandenburg and Berlin will check incoming and outgoing traffic for illegal substances and drivers under influence of alcohol and drugs. Last year, 600 people were caught drinking and driving and/or having used xtc or cannabis while driving a car. Be warned! 07-07-2003 -KINGS OF TRANCE MUSIC- Tiesto will play at the Ameland Truck, Paul van Dyk play at the Radio One float (nr.2) from 17:30 - 18:15 hr. VIENNA?- According
to Austrian Radiostation ORF it's unsure if Loveparade in Vienna
will take place this year. The event is suppost to be held in July,
one week before the Loveparade in Berlin, but hasn't been reported
to police or local government yet. The organization will have
a press converence next week to explain the situation. Last year around this time, Loveparade was already arranged. This year Loveparade Vienna seems to have the same problems as Loveparade Berlin: lack of money. The organization in Austria asked the city to become a sponsor to overcome the financial difficulties. The official website hasn't been updated either. When the Austrian Loveparade does take place, it will probably be on another route as in 2002: the streets are currently being renovated. 14-02-2003 -LOVEPARADE

The Loveparade will take place each second weekend of July in Berlin. This will mean that groups who want to have a demonstration on the same day and place as the Loveparade will have no chance. Planetcom will have to pay 25.000 Euro each year to compensate the damage done to the Tiergarten. Rain was expected, but weather conditions were quite good. 11-08-2002 -RAINY STREETPARADE- Some 650.00 people came to the coldest Streetparade ever. Rain all day long and a temperature of only 17*C. 30 trucks started around 15:30hr to drive the 4 km route over the Quaibr�ke to Z�richhorn, but these first had to be protected from the falling water. The organization had a budget of just 1.2 million euro. This amount will be enough although sales of food and drinks were very low. 17 people got arrested and a small amount of xtc/weed was confiscated. 05-08-2002 -STREETPARADE Z�RICH THIS WEEKEND- This Saturday the Streetparade will take place in Z�rich, Switzerland. The costs of 1.5 milion euros are way to high and there are not enough sponsors. Because of the bad weather, the revenues of selling drinks and food were disappointing. We think it would be a good idea if the city of Berlin would sponsor the event. First of all because the ravers spend over 150 million euro is the city. Berlin is poor and could use they money. Secondly the parade has brought a lot of goodwill to a city that was divided by the Berlin Wall and destroyed during World War II. Pictures of smiling ravers went around the world and gave the city a good name. Third of all, Z�rich has already put the Streetparade on the official event calender. Because of the good influence of the city counsel commercialization of the Streetparade was stopped, and Z�rich likes the ravers coming to town. It was quite warm, but some rain made many ravers leave the street to find shelter under the trees of the Tiergarten. Some ravers complained about the lack of people who were actually dancing. Drug- and alcohol abuse is still a big issue, but the Loveparade is still one of the few events where so many people can have fun together in piece and harmony. at German New Yorker Outlets, record stores and clubs. It's full
of pictures from the last Loveparade and DJ's like Paul van Dyk.
The magazine has 88 pages. 01-07-2002 -LOVEPARADE SAVE- Berlin police has announced the Loveparade is save. After the case had been investigated, they came to the conclusion that the people involved were not terrorists, but 'normal' criminals. Loveparade GmbH estimated over 1 million visitors will travel to Berlin, but doesn't know if the report in German tabloid "Bild" will stop ravers from coming to the event. 28-06-2002 -DEPOSIT
FOR DRINKS AT LOVEPARADE- Visitors of Loveparade 2002 will not get
thirsty. At some 100 locations you will be able to buy drinks
in plastic bottles. The empty ones can be returned to the stands.
This way you can contribute on keeping the envirement (Tiergarten)
clean. Prices of the cooled drinks will be the same everywhere.
Water (0,5 liter) will cost 1,50�, beer (0.33 liter 2,50�. Off course
there's always the possibly to score some cheap cola or beer in
the Tiergarten... 26-06-2002 -MORE DETAILS ABOUT TERRORIST ATTACK- On the 22th of May a Mercedes of the Chinese diplomatic staff was stolen. These ambassy vehicles will normally not be towed away from no-parking zones. The people in these cars have diplomatic immunity. A car like this would be very interesting to use for a terrorist attack. The 5 kilos of explosives which should be used for the were supposably smuggled to Sch�neberg by Albanian muslims in a Dutch Mazda. Berlin Police says visitors to the Loveparade are not facing a bigger risk than going to any other big event around the world. 25-06-2002 -STRING AS PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKET- In the weekend of the Loveparade you can buy a whristband (costs around 7,50 �) that gives you access to all public transport in Berlin. This year Berlin Public Transport has come up with the idea to sell a string (12 �) which can be used as a ticket. At the try-out (Christopher Day) more than 40000 were sold! You can find pictures of the string here 25-06-2002 -TERRORIST ATTACK AT LOVEPARADE?- German newspaper Bild has announced that police are investigating information from a informant who claims Loveparade 2002 will be victime of a terrorist attack with a car bomb. Last month a car with a Dutch license plate possibly carried explosives to Berlin. For now, there are no reasons to cancel the Loveparade. We'll keep you updated off course! 24-06-2002 -VISION PARADE WITH 150000 RAVERS- Last Saturday at the Vision Parade, thousands of friendly ravers danced in the streets of Bremen, Germany. 30 trucks drove through the Osterdeich with the latest Techno and Trance sounds. The Vision Park Rave afterwards was visited by over 8000 people. The City Parade in Liege (Belgium) was held the same day. Photos of this event can be found here 23-06-2002 -CHRISTOPHER STREET DAY IN BERLIN- This Saturday the yearly Christopher day was held in Berlin. This gay event was visited by some 500.000 people. Like the Loveparade, trucks with soundsytems drove through the city center. Goal of the event is to create a tolerant climate for gay culture worldwide. A small video from Euronews about the event is up for download. 20-06-2002 -FUCKPARADE WITHOUT MUSIC- Berlin will not allow a Fuckparade with music. So while last year's law suits are still pending, they will have a "traditional" demonstration (speaches, banners), starting 15:00hr at the Bunker (Reinhardtstrasse) proceeding to the Berlin City Hall. 18-06-2002 -TROPICAL BERLIN- Today is the hottest day in Berlin since 2 years. With temperatures of 35-36 degrees, it's impossible to go outside without using suncream. In these conditions it's very important to drink 3-4 liters of water during the day. They want it to be a demonstration, not a street fest. Fuckparade wants political changes, not to sell sausages and balloons. "We demonstrate for the "Right to Party", for a "concession light" for temporary cultural projects, for a fair use of discretionary powers when police is confronted with parties, for a responsible city planning that doesn't orient itself exclusively on the interests of big investors, against the exclusion and criminalization of (sub-) cultural minorities, against security delusion and the loss of public space, against a restrictment of demonstrations to classical protest elements, against nazis!" 04-06-2002 -TRUCK TICKETS- There are ways to get on a Loveparade truck. Just try the German Ebay, but be carefull for fake 'access all area' or 'presscards'. The Tunnel Club in Hamburg has some tickets for sale at their website. Most prices reach from 150 to 250 euro. Download it with Audiogalaxy. 27-05-2002 -TECHNO CLUBS IN BERLIN- For all the people that are visiting Berlin for a week before or after the Loveparade we made a list of all techno clubs in Berlin, with links to their websites. 19-05-2002 -G-MOVE REASONABLE SUCCESS- Around 100000 people visited the 8th G-Move streetrave yesterday. Unfortunately, it was raining all day. But: at temperatures of about 20 degrees, it didn't stop 22 trucks from driving through the centre of Hamburg.. Next streetparade: 22th of June in Bremen (Visionparade) 15-05-2002 -THE LOVE FROM ABOVE- The line-up of The Love From Above on Friday the 12th in the Columbiahalle has been released: Ashley Casselle (22:00-00:00hr), Paul van Dyk (00:00-02:00hr and 04:30-09:00hr), Pete Tong (02:00-04:00hr) and NU-NRG Live 04:00-04:30hr). It will be the first live performance of NU-NRG in Germany. The Italians are well known for their hit "Dreamland". 14-05-2002 -G-MOVE STREETRAVE- On the 18th of May (this saturday) the G-Move Parade will take place in Hamburg. The Parade will start at the corner of Holstenwall und Ludwig-Erhard-Strasse at 16:30hr. There will be many Loveparade clones in Europe this year, especially in Germany off course. We have collected them, you can see here when and where you can party with the crowd. 09-05-2002 -NO UNION-MOVE THIS YEAR- The Union Move that should have taken place in M�nich on Saturday 18th of May is cancelled. The people behind "the techno-parade against drugs" were not able to organize the event in time. Last year's edition wasn't a success: only 20000 ravers showed up, especially because of the rain. Even with a sunny sky, the event wouldn't be a good alternative to the Streetparade and G-Move. Local government was making it impossible for the Union Move to draw large crowds this year. 03-05-2002 -MAYDAY REVIEW- Over 20.000 people went to the biggest indoor techno event in the world. The 17th edition was blessed with a superior sound system, amazing lights and 4 Tarm lasers in the main hall. Especially Paul van Dyk, Umek and The Turntablerocker played some very amazing sets there. In the other area's, Ellen Alien and Felix the Housecat rocked the dancefloor. Although the drinks were much more expensive as last year, and the traffic between area 1 and 2 was pure horror, the organization had done their best. We feel very sad hearing that a raver died around 04:00hr. More pics here here here 28-04-2002 -LOVESTERN GALAKTIKA LINE-UP- Blank&Jones, DJ Sammy, Tonka, ATB, Tom Novy, Marc Spoon, Kai Tracid, Milk&Sugar, Afrika Islam, Aquagen, Starsplash, Miss Shiva, Howard Donald and Brooklyn Bounce will be playing at the Lovestern Galatika parties at the Loveparade weekend on 12/13th of July. The biggest party around the Loveparade will take place in the Berliner Messe. 23-04-2002 -RARE VIDEO LOVEPARADE 1995- We finally got the only video ever released about the Loveparade: 'Love is the messages; the parade documentary'. The best parts will be ripped to .mpg and posted in the video section coming week. 20-04-2002 -UNITY MOVE COLOGNE- 30 trucks will parade through Cologne, Germany on the 31th of August. The motto is "Europe Unites in Music". The route is located at the Venloer Strasse between Ausserer and Innerer Kanalstrasse. On the Rochusplatz the convoy will gather for the endparty. More info at the Unity Move website. 13-04-2002 -YES TO LOVEPARADE AS DEMONSTRATION- The Loveparade Mexico did take place in the end. The organization got permission to have the event as a demonstration. More than 60000 skaters, dancers and dealers made it into a succes. A good party spirit in the sun, although only 3 trucks took part in the streetrave. Raves Mexico has more info and comments, but the site is in Spanish. 12-04-2002 -LOVEPARADE MEXICO CANCELLED- The Mexican edition of the event should haven taken place tomorrow in Mexico-City. Unfortunately, the local government didn't give permission to have the event at the selected location. 100000 people were expected to come to the Districto Federal. They want to have a rave on both Friday and Saturday. The event went from Prenzlauer Berg (1996, 8000 visitors) and Spandau (1997-1999, with about 15000 visitors) to the Berliner Messe (2000-2001, 20000 visitors). The Love from Above in the Columbiahalle will be held on Friday the 12th of July. Paul van Dyk will play there like last year. Arena Treptow will host Love Nation on Saturday. Off course there will be many other parties in the Love Weekend, but those haven't been confirmed yet. More info 27-03-2002 -51 TRUCKS FOR LOVEPARADE BERLIN - The organization released the names of 51 trucks that were selected to be a part of this years event. This year also sounds from Libanon, Australia und Hongkong. Probably not all of them will actually come to Berlin due to several reasons, so like last year Planetcom has made a backup list of 14 trucks. 26 trucks will start from Ernst Reuter Square, the others at the Brandenburg Gate. The trucklist for 2002. 25-03-2002 -LOVEPARADE PHOTOS 1992-2001- Tons of galleries with Loveparade photos have been added to the photos section. 24-03-2002 -LOVEPARADES OUTSIDE GERMANY- Next month, on the 14th of April the Amercian Loveparade will take place in Mexico-city. The Love Parade in Tel Aviv will be held on the 30th of August. The Israelian edition of the event has a beautyfull location: a boulevard looking over the Mediterainian. The Loveparade in Austria (Vienna) will take place for the third time on the 6th of July. Russia expects to host it around the end of June. There are plans for an Australian Loveparade, but that isn't decided yet. It isn't clear if the UK and South-Africa can have their Loveparade again. 21-03-2002 -SENAT AND PLANETCOM AGREE- Loveparade 2001 will take place on the 13th of July. The Berlin Senat decided that the Loveparade can take place at the Strasse des 17. juni until 2006. Now that the organization is sure the event can take place the upcoming years, they can focus on planning it in the Tiergarten. A good alternative location just isn't available in Berlin. 21-03-2002 -LOVEPARADE MAGAZINE- The organization of the Loveparade are planning to publish a free magazine about the event around the 21th of June. About 180.000 of "Loveparade - Das Magazin" will be made. It will have have 96 pages in high quality size A4 papr. Everything has been worked out with the local government, so nothing can stop Loveparade this summer. Of course we will keep you up to date with all the news about the Loveparade! 02-08-2001 -MORE DANCEPARADES COMING NEXT WEEK- On the 11th of August there will be two big danceparades in Europe. In Rotterdam (NL) about 40 trucks will drive through the city with a big party afterwards. More info here The same day in Z�rich (CH) the famous Streetparade will be held. Last year was a big success with 750000 people and temperatures reaching 33 degrees! The Swiss version of the Loveparade is concidered to be as good or even better as it's original in Berlin! More info here 25-07-2001 -BERLIN WANTS LOVEPARADE NEXT 5 YEARS- The Senat of Berlin thinks the Loveparade and Berlin belong to eachother, and therefore will do it's best to ensure the event will be in it's citylimits the coming years. Although Planetcom will have to pay for the costs of the (commercial) event from now on, and the exact location of the Loveparade might not necessary be the Tiergarten, this means that the techno scene in Germany and the rest of the world will not lose the biggest dance party in the world. 25-07-2001 -LESS DAMAGE TO TIERGARTEN- The Tiergarten, the park around the Strasse des 17. Juni where the Loveparade is held, seems to have suffered less damage than last editions of the Loveparade. Less people went to the biggest technoparty in the world than last editions. The 800000 ravers that partied in Berlin mostly stayed on the roads in the park and used public toilets. On thursday specialist will take a look at the exact damages. The only real visible damage is on some trees, a wrecked fence between S-Bahnhof Tiergarten and Brandenburger Tor and several paths in the parc. Many trafficsigns were stolen! 24-07-2001 -BEARS GOT SICK FROM TECHNO- 3 bears living in the Berliner Zoo got stomage problems since sunday. Bengal and his 2 wifes Kama and Sutra probably didn't like the technobass that could be heard in large parts of the city. After setting the poor animals on a special diet they now are starting to feel better... 24-07-2001 -THE FUTURE OF LOVEPARADE- The Senat of Berlin wants to have control over the future of the Loveparade, and therefore thinks it is necessary to make plans for the coming years. The organization (Planetcom) finds the 13th of July 2002 the best date to have next years Loveparade. They have accepted that Loveparade isn't a demonstration anymore, but a commercial event. Planetcom asked for permission to have the event in Berlin the next 5 years! As soon as the Senat has set the date for 2002, Planetcom can find sponsors so there will be no loses like this year. Having the Loveparade costs about 4 million DM. 22-07-2001-PLANETCOM MADE 1.5 MILLION LOSS- According to pressagency AP, the organization of the Loveparade make a loss of 1.5 million DM. Planetcom now has to pay for cleaning up and the use of policemen, but also lost a lot of sponsors due to the problems around the Loveparade this year. Past years Loveparade always made a profit, but this year Planetcom had to pay 200000 DM for cleaning, 110000 for security and 350000 for damage done to the Tiergarten. 22-07-2001 -DR.MOTTE WANTS LOVEPARADE 2002 IN BERLIN- The founder of Loveparade, deejay Dr.Motte announced yesterday that he still believes in the Loveparade and has asked the city of Berlin to put the event on the calender as a political demonstration. Although judges have decided that the Loveparade is a commercial event, the parties (Planetcom and the local government) will begin talks this week about the subject. 19-07-2001 -BLANK&JONES FIRST LOVEPARADE TOGETHER- For the first time ever will d.j's Blank and Jones mix together at the Loveparade endparty at the Siegessaule. In 1999 and 2000 Piet Blank played there alone. From 18:40-19:00hr they will therefore play some special tunes, for example the worldpremiere of their remix of "Perpetuous Dreamers - Sound of Goodbye". 18-07-2001 -LOVEPARADE CAN BE LOUD- A judge in Berlin decided that the Loveparade may let the bass, beats and melody flow through the streets of Berlin. Because of the short time, 14:00-23:00hr , that the event takes place it is not necessary to turn the volume down. People around the Strasse des 17. Juni started a trial a few weeks ago because of the noise it brings. 16-07-2001 -LOVEPARADE UK CANCELLED- The Loveparade in Newcastle that suppost to start on the 21th of July, like it's big brother in Berlin, has been cancelled due to security reason. The police thinks it can't provide the security needed for the 250000 ravers that were expected. The BBC regrets the decission and thanked all people involved in organizing the event. 15-07-2001 -FUCKPARADE AND TIERGARTEN DEMO- The 'Fuckparade'' yesterday had about 1000 people taking part, about the same number of people that protested for saving the Tiergarten (photo). The Fuckparade (photo) ended in some fights between police and demonstraters, that threw bottles to policecars. 4 people have been arrested.
