Evangelion:
Death and Rebirth
The fate of distruction is also the joy of Rebirth.
This is the first movie in the Evangelion series. Packaged on a two sided DVD, Death is on the first side followed by Rebirth on the other. Being what it is, a movie to end the series, it does a great job of explainng the series to new comers. Death is the review of the 26 episode series person by person. It takes a look at each character's life and fills in the holes that needed to be filled. Rebirth picks up at the end of the series. It is nothing more that a teaser to End of Evangelion. Because of these two movies being released by a different company than the series, the voice dub is different. One of the techies sounds like the Jamacian guy from Crazy Taxi. Nevertheless, a great movie to get. It starts the ending of an awesome series. Though i have watched it more than a dozen times, there are still parts i can't figure out, but then again our brain is good at working things from chaos to order, not the other way around. With one scene of nudity, and within that scene a confussing part that you need atleast two years of sex ed., this movie isn't for the little ones.
