A few of the residences in the section behind the small yard.
The area below is seniced in the front section of the layout and part of the rear. Thankfully the track was only losely laid in the yard as I have decided to pull the yard out and relay it in the oppisite orientation. This will allow the layout to be run as a point to point and likely add a passing siding at the top of the yard that can double as a drill track. Al of the area except the tracks closest to hte tower and Posen cab/ yard office has been pulled up. Unfortunatlely the existing turnouts I already own do not create a good yard so I'll need to buy a bunch of turnouts to put the new yard together. As usual a Model Railroad is always a work in progress.
The park is a simple mini scene now oppisite the Rail Station and fills an otherwise difficult to use space. I'll lilkkely be adding some flats to the left of this scene to help hide the mock urban interchange.
This is the primary yard at Lowell. Although the yard is empty in the picture here it has four tracks for storage and classification and a nice long drill track connecting to the main line at two points behind the small town on the first page and in front of the grade of the mountain division. The yard now ends at one of Lowells many canals that helped the mill town grow at the turn of the 19th century.

More updated pictures will soon be posted so stay tuned!
