High School
These three pictures all come from my high school days. The first is my driver's license photo, taken in 1991 when I was sixteen and change. The second, my "senior picture," was taken about a year later, right before the start of my senior year at Emporia High. The third is a picture of me and Laurel Sims at her house in Topeka, on the way to prom. Man, what a couple of good-lookin' kids!
College, Mission, College, whatever
Here are a couple of others. The black and white one is from my BYU student ID card. The photo was taken in 1993, at the beginning of my freshman year of college. The second is a picture of me as a missionary in Sunset, Utah, in January of 1995. You might think from the picture that I was not having a good experience in Sunset. What you see, though, is a grimace of joy, because in fact I was having the time of my life. The other one comes from the wedding reception of my old friends Frank and Carrie McIntyre, which I think was in the spring of 1998.
And this last one here is a picture of me in the summer of 1998, when I was teaching English in Paraguay. This particular photo documents my brief career in a monastic order.
