Such a big difference coming back from the Big Apple. People there walk so quickly! Rush from home to bus, to underground subways, subway to work, then back to subway, bus then home. The process repeats daily. I do wonder what'll happen if all of it stops one day. What purpose, then, would they live for?
I was influenced by them after staying there...I walked fast...but to nowhere particular...

Wide range of people, so diverse it's scary. I guess it's good because you will always fit into a group; cause they're big on accepting uncomformity as the basis of their culture. NYC is also known as the "coldest/loneliest city of the world", a person can live for a decade and not have a single friend there. It's sooo true because some people walk with eyes adverted downwards or straight ahead, showing that they're not willing to make any interaction with one another. For a forigner who is unaware of things as such, if they were to go up to one of the yorkers, they would think you're trying to get something out of them or are a major crackhead. Some people aren't like that though, my sister and I went around Manhattan via the Subway and got lost every time. Everyday there would be kindhearted people who stop by and ask if we're okay.
Back in Calgary, everything is very uniform...most girls look like clones of one another (at least in fashion), and people generally cringe at the sight of a homeless bum, if there ever was one. At least Asian food taste better here :)

In the few weeks we were there, we went shopping, sightseeing, to museums!!!, Niagara falls, and was fortunate enough to see Phantom of the Opera live~~~ I still get excited on the mere thought of it.
oooh and I have to say their Kit Kats and Iced tea suck. But that's about it.
