About the Piano Lesson:
The lessons will be given once a week, half hour per week.  I will give you new assignments every week.  All new assignments will be written in the assignment book.

About Practicing Piano
Practicing is the students "homework" and should be done every day (or at least six days per week).  Many students, especially beginners, need help in setting up consistent practice times.  It may seem hard at first to find a time every day in which to practice.  While this time could change daily, it is better to use the same time each day so it becomes a habit.  Young Children (up to age 8 or so) may wish to divide their practice time into two equal blocks of about 15 minutes each, while older beginners should try to practice one-half hour at a time.  Recommended time for intermediate students is 45 minutes to one hour, and advanced students for about an hour or more each day.  These are not hard and fast rules as practicing needs can vary from week to week, but general guidelines.

About Recitals & Competitions
I believe that giving recitals is very important for the development of piano students.  You will gain an absolutely different experience from recitals.  I will arrange a recital with a friend who is piano teacher. Both of us will have a join recital together in the future.  I will let you know when the time comes.

About Festival & Auditions
I am the member of Coweta Fayette Music Teacher Association.  I will let all of my students participate in the Festival and Competitions.  Let me know if you are interested.

About Absent & Make-Up Lesson:
The studio shall not assume any financial responsibility for a student's absence(s).  A lesson time is reserved for students each week.  Regular and prompt attendance is required to make appropriate progress.
If you are unable to make it to a lesson, Please inform me at least one day before your lesson.  Or please inform me as soon as possible if you have any emergency situations.  You will be charged for the missed lesson.  You may schedule a make-up lesson for the same week that you were absent.
Students who miss lessons due to busy schedules, lack of preparation, sport activities, or vacation times are not eligible for a rate adjustment.  Make-up lessons are wholly at the teacher's discretion.  I will be willing to schedule a make-up lesson upon your request.
Students who missed make-up lessons are not eligible for a rate adjustment.
Lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled as the calendar permits.  If I must cancel a scheduled lesson, I will make it up at a time that is mutually convenient.
I reserved the rights to remove students from their lesson slot by the following reasons: 1.  Students are absent without informing me in advance.
2.  Students are absent without informing me for more than two weeks.
Keeping a consistent schedule is also part of a successful piano learning process.  It is the easiest way to insure your progress.  Short-term memory is the key of success in learning piano.  It is always easier to remember things for 7 days than for 14 or more days.  Because you will forget what you've learned two weeks or three weeks ago.  I encourage that you keep your lessons regular.
