| Well, if you are reading this, chances are that you have stumbled across my old homepage. This was my first dabbling with the internet, so it's not as nice as my blog... even though the only reason the blog looks nice is because I clicked a template from a menu ^_^ My name is Mari-J and I'm an Honours Biochemistry major. This page was initially intended to be called "Joyful Noise", but since that was already taken, I came up with Jangle instead (thank you thesaurus!). The future is full of unknowns for me. I've never been the type of person that always knew what I wanted to do with my life. Career-wise, I think I want to someday go into brain research. Perhaps I can get a lab in a university, and teach (I love to teach!) Only one thing in my life is for certain... whatever I do do, I want it to serve the purpose that God has created me for. And the core of that purpose is learning to love and live like Jesus did. How everybody accomplishes this of course is different, since we have all been given different talents and personalities! I guess I'll see what God has in store for me. The spice of life indeed =) I love music! I've been playing piano since I was three, and singing and song-writing are enjoyable pass-times of mine. I like reading and writing, as well as playing a game of street hockey and watching good movies. I'm a HUGE movie buff! I just wish I had more time to watch them lately =P I am a grand lover of food... specifically chocolate (notice that I didn't say especially!). I'm not a fantabulous cook, but what I can cook is usually pretty tasty. I'm working on that though.... A big part of my life is my time spent at the University of Waterloo Chinese Christian fellowship. I thank God everyday for everything He has given me. The friendships I have made at fellowship and university have really changed me. And of course... a shout out to all of my "O-dot" (Ottawa) friends. You guys rock! I'd just like to thank my good friend Victoria for inpiring me to start up this page. She helped me see that I don't really need a theme... I can just create it and fill it with lots of different things! Thanks for giving me the motivation Victoria. Miscellaneous fact... when I get established in my career, I want to found and conduct a community orchestra! I guess that's it for now!
