Joye Hansford is an abstract artist residing in Birmingham, Alabama. She has a B.F.A. with a concentration in Visual Communication from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She is currently employed as a Senior Graphics Architect for Motion Industries, a leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation replacement parts. Outside of work she enjoys her role as mother and wife to her husband Casson and sons Cass and Cooper.

She is intrigued by spiritual and emotional subject matter, and her work explores these ideas through the use of color and form. There is great diversity in the size, medium and method of her compositions. Although she has composed many paintings with acrylic and oil, her latest works are a series of abstract forms created with the use of pastels.

She was selected as the May 2006 artist for St.Vincent's Artist Gallery, and has donated works to fund-raising events such as Easter Seal's Evening for Angels.
