TERMINOLOGY
- Tourism: The act of touring or traveling for
pleasure. The term also refers to the supplying of services to tourists.
Tourism is a major industry worldwide.
- Ecotourism: ��Environmentally responsible travel and
visitation to relatively undisturbed natural; areas, in order to enjoy,
study and appreciate nature and any accompanying culture features.��

- Spearheading: This means that ��unopened areas with
delicately balanced physical and cultural environments, are being
brought into the locus of international tourism.��
- Code of conduct: Non-legislated guidelines that one
or more organizations agree to follow. Also referred to as "voluntary
code" or "code of practice," it typically outlines service standards
that you can expect in dealings with a company subscribing to the code.
- Tourism Lodging Tax: The tax that��s paid by the
tourists, estimating tourism��s economic impact.
- Travel congestion: roads filled with cars, trucks,
and buses, sidewalks filled with pedestrians. The definitions of the
term congestion mention such words as "clog," "impede," and "excessive
fullness." congestion usually relates to an excess of vehicles on a
portion of roadway at a particular time resulting in speeds that are
slower�Xsometimes much slower�Xthan normal or "free flow" speeds.
Congestion often means stopped or stop-and-go traffic.
