Dear Pastors and Friends,
I hope you are doing well in the peace of God. In this letter, I will share some things with you about myself.
I have been very nervous about that, but I thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity.
When I was a young girl in the fifth or sixth grade of elementary school, our merciful God gave me a curious heart
that was interested in the meaning of "life. Afterward, by God's guidance, I started to attend Mandarin Worship Church in Kaohsiung City.
At that time I just wanted to recognize who the real God was. Later, I received Jesus Christ to be my Savior when I was 19 years old. My family was opposed,
but I wanted to do what Jesus' Word teaches, so I accepted baptism on November 23, 1986According to the Scripture: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature."
Only one who has experienced God's salvation could ever imagine the wonderful change in my life. Before I believed in Jesus I had many sins which could be told to God but not to others.
But, our kind God was not angry with me. Instead He expressed His love to me by the blood of Jesus Christ and redeemed me from my sins. After I believed in Jesus, I could not thank Him
enough for the peaceful and joyful heart that He gave to me.
After I got saved I had a great desire for my family to be saved, because I was the first generation Christian in my family. Because of that, I often argued with my father. After a while
my father was killed in a car accident. When my father died, I had just given birth to my oldest daughter. Because of custom, I could not see my father one last time. Since I was the
only daughter with three older brothers, my father specially loved me. Several years later my mother found out that she was in the late stages of cancer. Within half a year she also died.
At that time, I could not accept any religion. After my parents were gone, I suddenly realized the importance of spreading the gospel. My heart was very moved and I said to God,
"Please make me a vessel you can use." But, my circumstances made me believe that was impossible. My husband was not yet saved and I had just given birth to my second child.
So I thought the time I could give to the Lord was getting less and less. I only could ask God to allow my work and service to Him to come together. I thank the Lord for hearing my prayer.
He has let me learn to serve Him at Priscilla Mission and also learn to continually ask for His will. After I moved to Feng Shan, God led me to the Freedom Baptist Church. From a newborn
babe in Christ desiring the milk of the Word I grew to learn to serve the Lord there.
At this time I am still a student at Chinese Baptist Bible College. I have already taken these courses:
Methods of Bible Study, Systematic Theology, Personal Evangelism, Revelation, Methods of Teaching Sunday School, Old Testament
History, Speech, Basic English, Chinese Church History, Hebrews, Theology, Genesis, Youth Counseling, Church Piano, Bible Music, Sunday School Management,
Computer and Office Secretary, Life of Christ, Doctrine, Discipleship. At this time I am taking Flannelgraph Background Making. At Priscilla, I am receiving training in making
song and verse visuals. I am involved at Priscilla Mission at this time in the following way: Monday- we have a special meeting and prayer time. We arrange visits or make contact
by telephone with those for whom we are concerned. Tuesday -I work in the office doing secretarial work including using the computer. On Wednesday- I do secretarial work at Priscilla,
including correcting and mailing correspondence courses. On Thursday- I go to Cornerstone Baptist church and help with secretarial work. Twice a month, the first and third Wednesdays
I help with a ministry at a women' drug rehabilitation where we are teaching the Bible to the ladies there. Also, I teach Sunday School at Freedom Baptist Church.
Other Prayer requests: Thank the Lord for giving me a burden for children. Please pray for three ministries that we are planning, that the Lord may bless and give wisdom:
Children's discipleship, Children's Park Evangelism, Children's Bible Correspondence Courses. May the Lord have His hand of blessing on this work. Psalm 31:24 "Be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen your heart,
All ye that hope in the Lord." May the Lord greatly bless all of you!
