Free Willy
Willy is an alienated 7000 pound Orca whale and Jesse (Jason James Richter) is a 95 pound 12 year old boy. Yet, suprisingly, they have a lot in common: Willy (Keiko) has been captured in the wild and is now confined to a tiny tank in a faded adventure park, while Jesse is a homeless boy who is arrested when he is caught spraying grafitti in the same park and sent to stay with a new set of foster parents. At 1st both are uncooperative: Willy refuses to perform any tricks and Jesse is suspicious of anybody who might try to help him. Eventualy though, Jesse makes friends with Willy and a bond of mutual faith and affection develops between the two misfits as Jesse learns how to communicate and gain the trust and friendship of Willy, while the magnificent Orca responds with a series of awesome flips, rolls, dives and leaps. However, when Jesse discovers what the future holds for Willy, he knows that only one option is open to him. Against all odds, and even reasons, Jesse must rely on his strength, resilience ands instincts to do the impossible... Free Willy! A stirring adventure story for the whole family.
I have seen the film and I can tell you I personaly, that I have enjoyed it even though I'm 15! I even got the VHS and the DVD, you should get it too! There is a lot to learn from the film. Get it!
