Norman Robberson (Chevy Chase) is the fairly normal father of a very model '90s suburban family. His only quirk is his obesession with TV cop shows, and his ultimate fantasy to play "cops and robbers"' for real.
Detective Jake Stone (Jack Palance) is the toughest cop on the force, with an attitude to match, In pursuit of a wantred criminal, the cops-led by the grizzled Detective Stone-convince the Robbersons to let them use their home to stake-out a dangerous neighbour.
For detective Stone, the nightmare has just began as he soon discovers he's got more on his hands than just catching the bad guys. But for Norman, the mild-mannered accountant, his dream has just come hilariosly to life...and he plans to make the most of it.
Also starring Dianne Wiest and Robert Davi. Cops and Robbersons is jam packed with fantastic action, hilarius heroics and outragious comedy.
-Well thats what it says on the back of the VHS. Now my opinion to the film is completely different. No offence to anyone but the film is dull. Its rather boring actually, there is a total of 45 seconds worth watching. Yes there are some funny scenes but thats was not enough to keep my friends watching the film to the end. I have only seen it once and wont be seeing it for a long time to come I dont think.
