BIRTH OF FIRST CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP:
General Overseer Johnny Outing was the founder of First Christian Fellowship Assembly Inc . He began this work in 1980 in Tampa, Fl where he and his family would travel every week from Orlando faithfully for 8 years. In 1985, he began a work in Orlando, Fl where he would continue to work diligently for 9 years encountering harsh circumstances. In 1994, the Lord opened doors to establish the church in Montverde, Fl. He continued tirelessly until the Lord called him home on February 2, 2000. Today, this church is still be carried on by faithful members that echoes the creed that we will let nothing separate us from the love of Christ.
HIS SPIRITUAL JOURNEY:
He was saved at a tender age of 10 and began to preach the Gospel at 11 years old. He captivated many of audiences during his 49 years of ministry with his unique preaching style and his anointed guitar playing that led many to the Lord. He was ordained as a minister in the Church Of God In Christ, Fort Walton Bch., Fl. at the age of 12. During his teens he would run revivals all over the southeast and southwest United States preaching the uncompromising Gospel to many. He would later serve under the late Bishop R.B. Hemingway of the New Jerusalem Church of God Inc. - Orlando, Fl. His journey included serving under the late Elder Duke Green of the Full Gospel Church of God In Christ-Sanford, Fl. In 1980, the Lord led him to start his own work, The First Christian Fellowship Assembly Inc. Through this great work, he inspired many to greatness and became a model for faithful service. During his final years, he would echo the biblical sentiments that the Lord gave to Abraham, "If I can find 10 righteous souls", he would continue to preach and teach God's Word even if it meant he only had ten souls.
PERSONAL BIO:
He was born January 13, 1940 to David and Ruth Outing in Sanford Fl. On October 13, 1962, he married the beautiful Marie Green of Sanford, Fl. Through this union, the Lord bless them with 5 children(4 boys and 1 girl). Johnny Jr.(wife-Jessie), Darryl Raynard(wife-Andrea), David Lamar(wife-April), Michael Ferrell(wife-Tamela), and Deborah Deneen(husband-Alfonso). He leaves a strong legacy behind with all five of his children serving the Lord with all four boys preaching the gospel and Deborah a gospel songstress. He went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2000
CAREER BIO:
Over 35 years in the Aerospace business. Started his career with Douglas Aircraft in 1965 at Kennedy Space Center and culminated in February 2000 with The Boeing Company. His Career highlights includes the lunar Apollo Program, The Delta Program, Spacelab, and Space Station. He was one of the pioneers for the Spacelab Program where he established Logistic Operations for the then McDonnell Douglas Corporation. He was Senior Manager of Warehousing Operations for many years, a position that very few African-Americans held during his tenure.
PERSONAL NOTES:
Some of his favorite authors were Watchman Nee, and Dr. Clarence Larkin , men who inspired him to have a deeper spiritual insight of the word of God. Some of his works can be found in articles such as "Principles Of Truths" , "Spirit World" , "Who Is God Anyway" , "Full Stature Part 2", "Full Stature Part 3", "Full Stature Part 4", and a classic composition that every married couple should read and those contiplating marriage "Marriage Promise". During his last years, he would echo the sentiments of the Lord stating to Abraham in Genesis 18: 32 that he would save Sodom and Gommorah if he could find 10 righteous ones. He would say if the Lord would give me ten that would love and serve him it would be satisfactory.
