� First Christian Fellowship Assembly was founded in May 1980 by the late General Overseer Johnny Outing Sr.
� Our General Overseer and founder was led of the Lord to establish a ministry dedicated to freeing the minds of men and women from traditionalism and customs created out of ignorance and perpetuated by physical minds trying to manipulate the Word of God for and to their advantage.
� The initial work was started in Tampa, Florida with only 9 family members and a few friends
� Our Founder would work a 50-60 hour work week and travel 160 miles round-trip every weekend for over 8 years from Orlando to Tampa to labor tirelessly on Saturdays building a nice sanctuary within the church and preaching the gospel faithfully on Sunday.
� In 1985, after 5 years of faithful work in Tampa, our General Overseer was led to begin a work in Orlando while maintaining his work in Tampa
� In 1988, our General Overseer decided to devote full-time to the ministry in Orlando
� For 5 faithful years(1988-1993) services was held in different homes, a home-turn-sanctuary, and the local Tangelo Park YMCA
� In the summer of 1993, one of our members at the time informed our church of a local newspaper real estate ad of a church
being sold in Montverde, Fl.
� After our General Overseer did extensive research and seeing the church first-hand, he immediately felt this was God�s stamp of approval after all of the years of extreme sacrifices and toil and to pursue ownership of the building
� On January 6, 1994, the First Christian Fellowship Assembly, after years of sacrifices of our General Overseer Johnny Outing Sr. and its nomadic existence, and winning over the Montverde City Council�s approval, received adequate financing for the acquisition of this edifice, and it gave our General Overseer and his faithful following a great sense that we�ve finally reached the proverbial �Promise Land�.
� Our General Overseer would continue to faithfully teach, preach, and disciple his faithful members tirelessly for 6 more years often to just a few. The Lord added unto us souls and some are here today. He would always remind us that he would be faithful to his calling even if the Lord would just give him only 10 members.
� On February 2, 2000, the Lord called home General Overseer Johnny Outing Sr, one of the greatest pastors, teacher, and preacher of our time. Today he is one of those great cloud of witnesses urging us saints to �contend for the faith�.
� This is a reminder to those who were with us during this journey of our rich legacy that was left behind by our General Overseer and to introduce our newest members to this great legacy that was born and endured through great trials and sacrifices.
