HELPFUL PACKNG TIPS
Tips:
Materials you will need from PACKERS...
- Wrapping Paper for breakables. Goods wrapped in old newspapers may be stained.
- Sealing Tape such as masking or plastic is best for packing (plastic will require a tape gun). Use 1/1/2" or 2" wide tape.
- Cartons and many of them, in assorted sixes, in good condition and have covers for sealing. PACKERS carries a full line of boxes you may purchase.
- Magic Markers for identifying box contents and FRAGILE etc.
Things to remember.....
- Pack on a room to room basis.
- Start early, pack two boxes a day. In thirty days you will have 60 boxes packed.
- If you find it necessary to have someone else pack you, use professionals with the right boxes and supplies.
- Hanging clothes should be hung in Wardrobe boxes to save the expense of having them cleaned and pressed later.
- Dresser drawers do not need to be emptied if they contain clothing. All breakables and heavy items should be removed to reduce weight.
- DO NOT PACK any flammables,
combustible or explosives for your move.
- Cushion bottom and top of any box that includes breakables with waded newsprint. Mark FRAGILE on the outside of the box.
- Label all boxes on a room to room basis.
