The effect of Time Dilation upon Radiation

What happens to radiation when it moves thru different dilation areas?

Abstract: A question arose in joe's mind about radiation:

What happens to radiation if it is generated or exists in a
high time dilated area and then travels to a zero or weak
time dilation area?

What's behind the curtain? A possible answer could be that the frequency of the radiation increases under those conditions. Would power increase along with it? No... probably power would remain the same, umm... the amplitude of the radiation would have to decrease (go down) to keep the energy level of the initial radiation the same. unnn... conservation of something or other from physics. Okay, at least that is joe's best guess. But... Is it a correct one? So, let's push on Joe's intuitive efforts in physics and see what kind of trouble he can get into. Consider radiation issued forth from the zero gravity port of a binary black hole system: Under those heavy surrounding gravitational conditions you would think that the ejection of radiation would be under a lot of gravitational (spacetime) time dilation. But... the radiation is issued out or escapes under TIME dilation conditions and so would be under dilation effects. But... the conundrum is that the radiation escapes thru a ZERO gravitational port inside the black hole or high gravitational conditions object and so, my most likely guess, would NOT fall under a dilation environment, so the radiation wouldn't be dilated at all. But... once out and traveling it... having a feeble mind doesn't help with this Einstein stuff at all... sigh... It doesn't take much to get a joe confused when wading thru dirt and superdirt interactions. Okay... let's try this again... Now what would happen if some 'splash back radiation happened to be ejected and escape during or under some sort of collision circumstance where time was heavily dilated? Under the severe time dilation conditions, my guess is that the radiation, if it could escape at all would, say for discussion's sake, start out a gigahertz for its lambda frequency with some 'normal' energy amplitude and then, as the radiation traveled towards lesser time dilated areas of space, its frequency would increase accordingly as the gravitation eased up on the dilation and tick-tocks got closer and closer together. So, it wouldn't be too far a reach to guess that VERY, VERY, high frequencies could be reached using this reverse time dilation or 'undilation', if you please. Restated: If, under its initializing conditions, radiation started out as an original emission at a rather high frequency under severe time dilation conditions, the dilation multiplier as it arrived in almost zero dilation areas would increase the frequency and lower the amplitude of the radiation. This may be a possible and augmenting source for the very high gamma ray bursts that appear to come from the dark areas of our cosmos. The duration of the burst, its frequency, and its amplitude would all be affected as the radiation traveled from a highly dilated area to a lesser one. I suppose you could argue the reverse process would be true as well as radiation traveled from an undilated area to a highly dilated area with the radiation being stretched and lowering in frequency as it approached the dilated area. In fact, all existing radiation would be affected as it moved from dilation to 'undilation' conditions and visa- versa. One of the interesting side issues of this apparent albeit theoretical process is what happens to the value of c under severe spacetime warpage? hmmmm... but that is another chapter... particularly, the e = +/- mc2 part... Some things are just going to have to be left for the experts to finger out. speculation is speculation. And it is particularly bad at the joe sixpack level. But at least the question has been raised. Whether the question is a valid one of course is yet another issue. But it is worth kicking the idea around to see what happens and whether it will lead to any predictive ability or reveal any further realizations about the nature of the cosmos. Thus endeth joe's speculations on the nature of superdirt and a/the possible source for the generation of the ever mysterious ultra high energy gamma ray bursts. ah... here they come now with my pills...
