a modest note

Abstract: The successful solving of Poincare's Conjecture,
concerned with topology, and insofar as topology is used as
a primarily mathematical tool for dN topology,
doesn't seem to apply when it is extended to topologically
mapping the cosmos. The reason for this is that topology
defines the universe as finite and not unbounded.
This is in direct opposition to joe's Universe+ hypothesis
that the universe is infinite and without limit. An
arbitrary assumption for sure, but one that seems entirely
more reasonable than the alternative at this time.
So joe gets the 1,000,000 dollar prize as he has correctly
guessed the shape and dimensions of the universe. Or was
the prize offered for that? There is one minor caveat with
respect to the prize... At least ten million people think
the universe is endless too so joe just gets his share of
the booty which is ten cents. (sniff...) If 100 million
people think the universe is endless then joe gets 1 cent.
If 5 billion people think the universe is endless then joe
gets 1/50 of a penny. i hate sharing prize money. :-)
