It probably has happened to you too. That is if you ever take public transportation. But this time I was taking photos of the buses.
The Fixed Route Shuttle was the one I was in time to get. But while waiting
I started taking pics of the
intersection and the bus stop.
However, as the F.R.Shuttle was arriving I snapped a quik pic of it and waved.
The driver thot I was just out joy photographing or something and so he drove right on past me.
Oh my, did I get upset.
Yeah, try hitch hiking!
My mountain bike was in the shop for a lube job to take out the noisome squeak. Usually I ride my bike. But I had the CCAT bus schedule on me. It would arrive in about 20 minutes, so I waited for it. Got a pic of it too. This time I flagged the driver to stop before I snapped her bus.
She smiled as I got on.
Then I told everyone in the front about my almost-not-so-short-trip to the bike shop. One young guy who just moved here said it seemed like a better place to live. It is one of the best left in rural America that is becoming more 'n more citified. City folk love to come here and remake their cities out of our small rural residential town. It's hopeless! Now that Forbes Magazine has voted SLO-Atascadero as the 21st best place to do business in, we're sunk and it sucks! Who's pulling the strings around here?
That's why I have a page on My Travels for around the world tour.
Now as a sequel, at this very same bus stop that is primarily the city's Fixed Route Shuttle stop, I was sitting on the same metal green painted bench waiting to catch a ride to the P.O. to pick up a birthday package from Robin in MA. Mind you, it was the last time that I could get to the Post Office on time for packages. Well, I waited as usual ahead of time, and along comes the Shuttle with Jackie at the wheel at this time of day. Also, it was lightly raining and I was covered up with a raincoat. I stuck out my glove for the stop, but she drove right onn by. Wow! I thot, "What is wrong with her"?! Maybe she sensed the "other" woman who had sent me the package with a handmade shirt for doing online photo uploading to her personals ads.
Thankfully the notice of attempt to deliver was able to get the package redelivered to a designated location on the property across from my street box two days later, still one day ahead of my 55th birthday today, March 9, 2002. This is it! Now I am a junior senior citizen!
