profession/activities: Jeweler and watchmaker, started in Sabará, MG, Brazil, with "The Anchor of Sabará" ["A Âncora Sabarense"], jewellery store and watchmakers shop, founded on 30th/Mar/1894, located at Caquende Street [Rua do Caquende], wich transfered to Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, in the year of 1912, with the name of "Jewellery Store and Watchmakers Shop Teodomiro Cruz" ["Joalheria e Relojoaria Theodomiro Cruz"], the first of the city, that was located for many years at Setenth of September Square [Praça 7 de Setembro], at the corner that stays between Rio de Janeiro Street [Rua Rio de Janeiro] and the Afonso Pena Avenue [Av. Afonso Pena], where there is today the Helena Passig Edifice [Edifício Helena Passig]. He was also a poet, lefting a book of poems, Veras, and diverse sparse poems. He used the pseudonym "Raul Moreno". Laudelino Freire, in his Collectanea Brazilian Sonnets [Sonetos Brazileiros], published by F. Briguiet, in 1913, included one of his sonnets, "Strange Symphony" ["Symphonia Extranha"], at pg. 258.

honours/mercies: The poet Antero de Magalhães dedicated to his memory one sonnet, published in a newspaper of Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil (Minas Gerais?), entitled "To the memory of Theodomiro Cruz" ["À memória do Theodomiro Cruz"], dated of 13th/May/1937, first anniversary of his death. He was "post-mortem" awarded , in the year of 1979, by the Prefecture of Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, with the Commendam of the Order of the Pioneers [Comenda da Ordem dos Pioneiros]. Besides that, the city of Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, honoured him in the name of the "Teodomiro Cruz Street" ["Rua Teodomiro Cruz"] (without the "H"), that it is located in the neighborhood of Saint Luke [ São Lucas].
