| I decided that I will use a version of the EPS because of the new NASCAR points system.
It will be a total of your wins and poles (wins - team with the most points after the race weekend, gets 15 elite pts (5 more than last year do to changes in NASCAR) and you will also get 10 more if you got the pole (team with the most points in that weekend after qualifying but not the race) (plus an extra 2.5 pts if you had the driver who got the pole) we might also bring back the weekly quiz which would be 2.5 too. there will be no Manufactures championship, ROTY, or best average etc because those took too much time and are not really needed, and added to the downfall of the 06 season. there might be a H2H midseason! there will be the Elite all-star event (new rules coming) and the Elite Shootout @ Homestead. The difference from last year with the EPS, was the team with the most points after the 1st half to the chase (13th race mark) would get an automatic spot in the chase, along with the top 3 drivers in the Yahoo! standings. Then after the 26th race, there would be the next 3 from race 14-26, 1 overall (from 1-26) leader in EPS (from races 14-26) and one overall (1-26) This year, the chase will be set just like NASCAR'S, with a little change. The top 10 in pts after Richmond (26th race) will be in the chase, and will be ordered by their amount of wins (see above) then the next two will be set, not by the next two in Yahoo! points system, but the next to teams that won the most races of the ones remaining. These next two teams will not move above 11th before the chase starts. Any ties will be broken by amount of points in the Yahoo! points system. |
