The altar

The main figure is the St. Catherine from Alexandria. She is not only the patron saint of hospitals but also the patron of astronomers, engineers, jurists and philosophers.

Five scenes from the life of St. Catherine closed the altar by a predella. The two accessory figures are
the very popular helping Saint of the Middle Ages St. Roch, the patron of sick and fallen persons and St. Barbara, the patron of the miners. The two-two pictures taking from their life complete the panel painted altar made of local oak.
