Fishing Guide

Fishing Shops:

Fishing shops are located in Port Sarim, Catherby, and Shilo Village (only accessible after completing Shilo Village quest). They sell fishing equipment and types of fishes. The Rellekka Fishmonger functions the same (only accessible after completing Fremennik Trials quest). Fish stalls are located in Rellekka, Miscellania, and Etceteria (all accessible only after doing Fremennik Trials quest).

Random events:

When fishing watch out for random events such as Whirlpool and Big Fish:
- When fishing a Whirlpool can appear, if you still fish in the same spot, it will suck in your fishing equipment and you will need to buy a new one
- Big Fish will jump up, take your fishing item and spit it out up on the shore. It will appear close to you.

River Troll


These babies attack you when you're fishing. It is also very dangerous, because usually there are so many people on the fishing dock you cannot tell who is receiving damage. By the time you realize you’ll be dead.
Levels range from 14, 15, 20, 45, 47, 120, to 159. Item drops: include Fishing bait 5-25, any saltwater fish tuna-shark, feathers, oysters (3), caskets, bones, and fishing equipment.

Fishing guild:

You need Fishing 68 to enter, 65 Fishing with a Fishing Potion.
There are lots of spots fishes there, and differents one to.The best thing is, that’s they have a bank there.You can get easy lvl there then.

Fishing Tools:

Fishing Net


Notes:
You need Fishing lvl 1 to start to fish with a Small Fishing Net.
You can fish with a Small Fishing Net in: Karamja Dock and Draynor Village. (This are the spots, were you can do this, later more come)This is what you can catch with Small Fishing Net: Shrimp and Anchovies
Fishing Rod


Notes:
You need to use Fishing bait when you are Fishing with Fishing Rod. If you don't you will not catch any Fish. Lowest lvl to catch any fish with it is Fishing 5.
You can fish with Fishing Rod in:Karamja Dock, Draynor Village, Lumby River, Barbarian Village, Al-Kharid. (This are the spots, were you can do this, later more come)
This is what you can catch with Fishing Rod and Bait: Sardine, Herring, Pike.


Fly Fishing Rod


Notes: You need feathers when you are Fishing with Fly Fishing Rod (feathers can be bought for 3gp in Fishing Stores). Lvl 20 Fishing needed to start to fish with this tool.
You can fish with Fly Fishing Rod in:Lumby River, Barbarian Village.(This are the spots, were you can do this, later more come)This is what you can catch with Fly Fishing Rod: Trout and Salmon

Harpoon


Notes:
To start to fish with a Harpoon you need 35 Fishing
You can fish with Harpoon in: Fishing Guild, Karamja Dock. (This are the spots, were you can do this, later more come)This is what you can catch with a Harpoon: Tuna, Swordfish and Shark

Lobster Pot


Notes:
To catch Lobster you need Fishing 40 or higher.
You can fish with a Lobster Pot in: Fishing Guild, Karamja Dock. (This are the spots, were you can do this, later more come)You can only catch Lobsters with a Lobster Pot.
