| BRUCE CAMPBELL |
| Hail to the king of B Movies | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My favourite actor of all time. There is something undefinable about him. He is able to do stuff that no other actor can and he is also the most unpretentious sort, which certainly is a blessing in these days of 15 minute celebrity hair styles on legs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There are lots of sites devoted to him and his work and his voice etc. I have included some links at the bottom of the page. The best of these is his own site - www.bruce-campbell.com |
| Check it out! Anyway - here simply are a list of my Top 5 Bruce Campbell performances. In no particular order. |

ASH in 'Army of Darkness' and 'Evil Dead2' |
| Both sublime performances. Without a doubt some of the best slapstick ever commited to celluloid and actually some subtle brilliance brewing underneath the bold brash character he plays. The false confidence especially is played to extremes and with very funny consequences. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

ELVIS in 'Bubba Ho-Tep' |
| Bruce plays an elderly Elvis Presley with cancer of the penis having to do battle with a 2,000 yr old mummy in an East Texas rest home, helped by an elderly black man in a wheelchair who claims he's JFK!!! Brilliant bloody Brilliant! NOBODY ELSE could play this part and bruce provides an AMAZINGLY well rounded and subtle performance of heart-wrenching magnitude! |

Carl in 'Running Time'' |
| Bruce plays a theif in this intriguing black n white effort from Josh Becker. Just released from prison he gets together with his old crew for one last heist. Filmed in real time under the illusion of one continuous shot (like Hitcock's Rope, only that was on a stage this is all location!), Bruce's serious performance here is powerfull and exciting. Showing a range of emotions as his well thought out plan goes from bad to worse. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
