What was the Jon Stewart Show?
The greatest show in the history of television. Next question. What happened to Howard? He's still doing standup around New York, and as of summer of '07 had a day job with TKTS. He auditioned for season 4 of Last Comic Standing in March 2006. I'm producing a documentary of on a person who appeared on a show. Do you have a clip of that you can give me? How about contact info for the producers? I've been asked this more than once. The best way to obtain the footage (and the rights to use it!) is to contact the rights & clearances department of Viacom or MTV Productions. Madeleine Smithberg no longer works with the Daily Show, and cannot be contacted through them. So is Paramount evil? Arent all media conglomerates? Theres a general consensus among fans that the show was canceled without really being given a chance, which prompted more questions than would normally be raised when a lower-rated show is junked. Some blamed Paramount for not allowing the show to find its audience, and not marketing it well. But really, I think everyone's gotten over it by now. Did Letterman offer to be on Jons last show because he likes Jon so much, or was he asked? He was asked. And he accepted because he likes Jon so much. What was that awesome song Buffalo Tom played to close Jons final show? Its called Porchlight" off their cd Let Me Come Over". The lyrics can be found here. Im sure I saw Jon hosting a talk show a long time ago, but it wasnt the Jon Stewart Show. What up wit dat? Jon guest-hosted for Later with Greg Kinnear" on NBC and The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder" on CBS after his show was canceled. What does Jon think of his old show? One would hope hes proud of it, but there havent been many reasons for him to discuss it since the cancellation. In all his modesty, he once said that he thought the show is remembered as being better than it actually was. (Everyone's allowed to be wrong sometimes, right?) What is Jon doing now? Are you living under a rock? Jon hosts Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart". He is happily married, rich, and famous, and has no time for turds like us. What are the connections between The Jon Stewart Show and The Daily Show? Geez, ya got all day? Many folks who worked on JSS went on to be involved with TDS. |
