also has a template for stage plays). Their website features
my column about playwriting under Theater/TV Tips. Just be sure

Plays is the website that only contains plays of mine suitable
for young performers and audiences. So if you know someone who
would prefer to browse through my "clean" site, send

The Alliance
of Los Angeles Playwrights is the service and support organization
for playwrights in the Los Angeles area. It sponsors an annual
play reading festival, major events like the Playwrights Expo
and Dramapalooza, email lists, a script catalogue and many other
networking and development opportunities. I'm Co-Chair!
The Philadelphia
Dramatists Center is the professional organization for playwrights
and other dramatic writers in the Philadelphia area. I was formerly
managing director and am a lifetime member.

This is the American professional association of playwrights, lyricists and composers. If you are serious about your writing, it's a good idea to join.
Bang, Bang You're Dead! is a play by my friend William Mastrosimone and one of the most produced plays ever. We were on a double bill and did a panel together to discuss school violence at City Lights Youth Theatre. Consider doing this play in combination with my play NOW YOU SEE ME to focus on this extremely important issue.

Choate Rosemary Hall Summer Arts Conservatory (Wallingford, CT) is a great summer program for teen actors, playwrights and artists. It's run by my dear friend Paul Tines, and I spent three summers there as playwright in residence, creating NOW YOU SEE ME, DAY ONE and DEAR CHUCK.
City Lights Youth Theatre in New York City is a wonderful theatre company that produced NOW YOU SEE ME.
is my favorite theatre company on the planet, and I'm a resident playwright there. They've produced eleven of my ten-minute plays and four of my one-acts, and have held readings of MILK
AND COOKIES. They staged the world premieres of THIS
MAGIC MOMENT and NEVERLAND
as part of Pub Plays and their mainstage season, respectively.

Studio Theatre - LA did a concert reading of SHINING

Green Theatre Company is a British youth theatre near London

I taught a master class at Idyllwild Arts Academy (Idyllwild, CA), where they did a reading of AFTER MATH and also helped me with some of the development on THANK YOU FOR FLUSHING MY HEAD IN THE TOILET.
InterAct
Theatre Company (Philadelphia) produced my monologue, MY
FORMER NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR. Philadelphia's home for social
and political theatre, and an aggressive producer of new plays.
Kitchener Waterloo
Little Theatre (Waterloo, ONT) produced BOOKENDS.
Moving
Arts (Los Angeles) produced PLAY'S
END (fka FOREPLAY). They've moved to a new and bigger space
in downtown LA, so help them fill it!
The
Pittsburgh New Works Festival premiered BEEF
JUNKIES. They also have the coolest effects on their home
page.

Playwrights
Theatre of New Jersey was instrumental in developing BEN,
beginning with a table reading and continuing with a concert
reading. They're part of the National New Play Network.
The South London Theatre produced FROM SHAKESPEARE WITH LOVE? as part of their Prompt Season.
The Twin Beach Players (Chesapeake, MD) produced THE WHITE PAGES.
The Walnut Street Theatre's education department commissioned a pair of plays, FROM SHAKESEARE WITH LOVE? and From Lit to Hit, to tour to schools.
Young
Players Ensemble (Los Angeles) didn't actually produce one
of my plays, but I did the dramaturgy for one of theirs.

Matt Buchanan's
Children's Theatre and Creative Drama Site My good friend Matt has the definitive creative drama site on the internet, with lesson plans galore and more, and if you are looking
for a top-notch children's play for your theatre company or school,
I highly recommend his work.

Ed Shockley
is another good friend and a top-notch professional playwright
based in Philadelphia.

Stuart
Ambrose is an accomplished professional singer and actor and
a former student of mine. He is currently based in Los Angeles.

Peter Musante is a wildly talented recent graduate of UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television. He's a tremendous actor and singer, and a very nice guy. Sadly, Peter hasn't been in any of my plays...yet. He is based in Los Angeles.

seek: you'll find many of my plays listed there, a testament
to the webmaster's good taste.
Featuring several of my plays, this is a great place to look for professionally produced plays (and to read substantial portions of them) that you may wish to produce on your own stage. Check it out!
StoryFoundry.com is another great site to visit if you're looking for a play to produce. It allows playwrights to list their work for free, and would-be producers can browse the hundreds of plays on the site to find the right match for their needs.
