F.Y.I.

I was born on the 29^th day of September - Anno Domini, it's the Feast day of my beloved patron Saint Michael the Archangel. At first, my parents considered to have my first name as ‘Michael’ named after my patron saint, but since I am the eldest son in the family, they have no choice but to acquire my father’s name. However, people would like to call me by my nickname “Jon-Jon” which is far the same from my real name. Our family clan were came from the tiny province of Camiguin, it’s a very beautiful island lies between the Visayas in the north and Mindanao in the south of the Philippine archipelago. We are a quite big family composed of nine individuals; seven siblings in which I came third from the eldest, each have their own unique characters from the others, which sometimes hard to comprehend by my parents.

I am devoted Roman Catholic, thanks and regrets for the sweat by the Spaniards who colonized this land. Thankful for the great foundation of Catholicism they have brought to this land. Regrets, maybe because if they just let the Britons to colonize this land during the mid 18^th century, this nation would have been in a much harmonious and stable way of living today, but on the contrary, we might not be a Latin nation in Asia, but instead, a predominant Protestant or Anglican nation, or perhaps, Muslim nation. Well, so much of those ideas, but in line with faith, I love going to the churches and appreciate the serenity inside it while praying, I also love capturing the outside beauty of it whether it’s a Gothic or Byzantine structure. I am a Marian devotee, I believe that through her perpetual help and divine intercession to our Lord, I will able to achieve my own petitions and aspirations in life.

I am a typical but extreme kind of person, deep thinker and silent observer of almost all the things that surrounds me. My friends used to describe me as a very unpredictable person, and sometimes they do not apprehend my moods whether I’m In or Out of the circle. Some people and even strangers do not tend to just easily approach me because of my serious looks, I don't know but I remember one of my batch mates in High School didn’t want to get close with me in person or look at me face to face, quite weird, because according to her I have this hypnotic eyes that's she's very intimidated with, and I don’t know whether she's just fooling around or flirting with me (hehe). Furthermore, I have this very temperamental judgment, which I hate a lot, I often put myself on the edge of my decisions that in a matter of seconds, suddenly, I found myself on the other side of the story.

I am a person with a sense of balance towards emotional and social behaviors; I can be an Introvert now and extrovert later, funny now and serious later, sensitive and insensitive, and I guess I can almost understand and ride with the poorest and the richest people of this world. With so much to say about my personality and more than those traits above, most importantly, I care about respect and love, it gives me a sense of fulfillment to be a better person and above all, true happiness.
